No progression on the Jamal path at all?! And on this new Lisa path Mei doesn't even look pregnant at all, is this really how it is supposed to be or is my shit bugged?
While i dont define swinging as strictly as others like it MUST be a 2by2 exchange - the tone here definitely doesnt feel like swinging.

pathetic? no, i agree with you it's not that.
However at the same time, at no point in the game can we say MC ever presents a 'threat' to Davis or Jamal. The power dynamic is never in doubt. (I dont just mean sexually, i mean everything, violence, wealth, etc)

I agree, what helps a lot, at least for me, is FMC's stance, which always reaffirms the love it has for MC and the many conversations they have about everything they do, and also the power of choice that MC has, at least in the sharing path that I play.

I see your point, but I think it depends rather much how we play and our own definitions. For instance, on one sharing/swinging/NTS path I play, the MC is fully capable to save Mei all alone from the kidnappers (and does so), even if you still get help from Jamal it is never in doubt that you are Mei´s number one. If you group breed Mei, the MC holds the reigns how and what happens. If you do not play him like a loser, the MC will not be a loser! It is mentioned in text and dialog that the MC gains in wealth, confidence and stuff along the way unless you go for NTR.
Another example,when you are on holiday in the Caribbean and win the wer T-shirt contest, on the yacht and later back in the hotel you can outperform Jamal in the sheets easily, if you know what you do and build up your own stats.
The power dynamic is far less clear than you estimate, the text changes are important. I think that is one reason some players do not find all paths in the game. There are scenes with the pictures nearly or the same for several path variants, but the text and dialog changes are big! Also really old saves can be problematic since they miss some variables and/or changed stat gain possibilities.
I give you the point that it can become muddled if Mei´s and your stats are smack at several different threshholds at the same time, where scenes might fire which should be on other paths.

You are mostly an observer only if you choose so! On the romance and several sharing/swinging/NTS paths the MC is involved in every sex scene unless it is specifically chosen by the MC to be just watching.

The game did get a remake, I thought that was way more than a year ago, though. I am terrible with time, however, so maybe not. What I do know is that the original game is quite different from the revisitted version. In terms of NTR I would say there is enough non-NTR content to be playable, but the game kind of has these characters waiting in the wings constantly to leave the NTR paths open, so it feels like vultures constantly circling. The non-NTR content also isn't partucularly interesting at this point. I am still hoping that changes as Lisa and Lee are both way more appealing than Wifey IMO.
How do you unlock the Lisa route? I played Mr Davis' route and accepted the meeting with Bernard and Lisa, got through the short sex scene and that's the first and last time I see them. Is there more?
Well, the non-NTR mode for the Mr. Davis route. The other route actually stays pretty hot with sharing instead of cheating / having partner seduced-away. Then again, Mr. Davis in general is 'meh' for me.
(Mmm.. I suppose that actually is 'NTR' too if we use the 'netorase' meaning, though I don't like that term. It overloads 'NTR' until its hard to know what it means, and there were already terms for that which were clearer and more specific - swinging, hotwifing)

I don't disagree with you, but I tend to include NTS as NTR because only people who are into NTS tend to know the difference. Explaining it every time is tiring.
