One thing which could also help is starting from a working save a bit earlier than that event, run up to that point in the game, save over the bugged on and going on. It should work, sometimes the save saves simply wrong. The grey screens show some switch stuff not working correctly, that is not a big issue, but an annoying one. Might even be a renpy version bug at work, if the original save is a little older.
If there are still grey screens coming up, use ignore and go through the whole event, don´t stop in the middle, make a save and close WDR. Then start anew and use a fresh save from before the event, it should now work normally.

Pardon me, but "slut too much" is your style of playing. It is completely unproblematic to get an "unslutty" Mei in the game. There are romance, sharing/swinging and NTR paths in the game, it is your choices which path Mei and you take.

So... you clearly like sharing content, since you decided to play that path, but you're upset because she's "too slutty" and it's with the "same black guy." Which is ironic, considering you're a fan of LSS and have Ann as your signature. Ann on the sharing path is sluttier than Mei is in this game, just saying. Quite a few characters in that game are pretty damn slutty or at least dress pretty damn sluttish, so what's your point? There's also only two guys to share with in LSS so far as well, not exactly a wide variety.
I actually love LSS btw, and personally have no problem with girls who dress/act pretty sluttish, as long as it isn't overboard. I just think it's ironic that these are your complaints. Also there's what Turret said, this is all based on your choices in the first place. You chose to let a slut influence Mei in the first place, what did you expect?

I think I tried all routes so far, though I'm somehow missing a few scenes, but is there an actual happy cuck route ? Not sharing but one where he encourages his wife and she thrives on humiliating him ? I even went through the hardcore mode on all kinds of love statuses and couldn't find a way.

There is something of a "happy cuck" NTR route like you want on the Lee/Davis side. But for this you have to keep you hands of the hardcore mode, which forces hard NTR no matter any stats.
I vastly prefer the romance and happy sharing/swinging paths, so I might not be the best at describing the NTR paths, but for something of a happy cuck route, you need sharing on, rather high LP stats with the MC and slightly higher rival points. Then Davis has to be antagonistic, but not always, at times you need him friendly. Because if you go full antagonist, you will come either on full NTR or if you fight back, Mei comes back closer to you. (But since you want humiliation, she cannot be too close). In this vein you should get roughly what you want.

I'm also not a fan of NTR, but since the scenes are hotter on that path (and let's face it, the regular love path is kinda meh) I went and tried to get all scenes. I'll try your suggestion but it's fine if there isn't humiliation. But I didn't have any "happy" cuck story so I was doubting there was one. Thanks for the tip.
Well, from a porn game view, the romance path without serious rival might be "meh", but it is rather wholesome and I like that we have such a path in the game, not just doom and gloom! And even on this path things can be heating up a bit, depending on your choices.
It is rather easy to get the main paths of WDR, but to get the various subpaths can be tricky! For instance I really like the happy sharing/swinging path with a friendly Jamal as a FwB and the MC and Jamal being buddies. To hit that path right you need to know what you want.

Honestly the only kind of paths that would make sense considering the options and rivals in this game would be :
- Mei being forced into submission/slavery (with innate sub nature) on the Lee/Davis path
- Mei turning into a QOS on the Katie/Jamal path
- MC being a full-fledged cuck on the Katie/Jamal path
- Mei turning into a sub for Davis but dom for MC (MC not necessarily being a cuck, just a poor excuse of a man) on the Lee/Davis path
- Mei turning into a whore for Jamal and his gang to pay off a debt or because of threats on the Katie/Jamal path
A lot of things in the game don't add up especially when you look at Mei's love status and then her actions/scenes. You can't be head over heels for your boyfriend/husband but being okay being a sub for someone else. You have to either fall out of love for the former first or be extremely dissatisfied. You also can't tell me that someone buys that bullshit about all the different kinds of "friendships" that Mei keeps mentioning on that Katie/Jamal NTR path. It's almost hilarious how stupid it is, and how the other characters are fine with it especially when her love status doesn't match what she does. Anyway the things I mentioned above are just a few cases I picked out of many other issues I found.
Just so everyone that will read this and 3Diddly know, I do enjoy the game in itself, but there are a few real issues with the writing and the development of the characters especially according to their attitudes and the love status.

I just succeeded at getting that "happy cuck" route, it is indeed close enough, but is there no way of getting it while having Mei be Davis' Protected ? Because it seems you automatically lose her if you don't enter the Pledged with her.
Have to disagree on certain parts of your post! Especially what paths make sense, since you omit the fact that the MC can stand up for our couple and does NOT have to be the beta you seem to see him only.
The romance paths (without and with a serious rival) are selfexplaining. Our MC can pursue Mei to make their greencard marriage a real one and you have the option to keep the rival away or beat him/being better than him. That definitely makes sense.
As an aside, our couple does experience with what they like in bed on romance and happy sharing/swinging, see e.g. the exhibitionist trait they discover together.
As for the happy sharing/swinging paths, it is mentioned in game that "sharing/swinging" is a fetish for the MC and our couple goes a way of little steps towards it. It is not that Mei just jumps into bed with Jamal/Davis directly, they have to go a way. In addition, even if the MC gives Mei the option towards sharing/swinging, you do not need to do any of it. e.g. You can tell Mei she can go on a date with Jamal, but you can also tell her not to. Even if you went on the sharing paths, our couple can dabble (only take sharing options now and then), walk towards full sharing or leave it as a pure, not followed, option (does not take further sharing options when they are there). You also can play the MC as a selfassured and able guy. So the Stag/Vixen happy sharing paths are quite nice and make sense.
I give it to you that it is easier with Kati/Jamal, as on their paths Mei in general develops a more funloving, perky personality and everything is more in the open and on the table when it comes to sharing. You and Jamal can also become buddies over time (if you have the needed stats/personality) and Jamal for example likes it when you send the would be assaulter of Mei packing one way or the other. These paths make absolutely sense, esp. in a porn game.
On the Lee/Davis side I agree with you that they make classical sense only if you play a MC with some backbone and ability. Lee and Davis like backroom dealings, D/s etc. a bit too much for a rather meek (low stats) MC to see land for long. Here it makes doubly sense to have some backbone if you want to befriend Davis. But for a porn universe it still makes sense.
I am not a NTR player, doing the NTR paths only for completeness reasons on speedrun, so i cannot say all that much about how much sense these make. But the NTR paths are for the fans of this sexual practice and if they are happy too, it is okay in my book. I agree with you that there are some WTF moves esp. in the hardcore mode, but it was made in specific for the NTR fans, because it forces NTR no matter what. There are less problems on the more normal hard NTR paths, where you can loose Mei quite easily and you can see the stats dropping like stone.
