marmaduke Yeah, you are not wrong. But i think this is kind of caused by the google doc for the animations, where the entries only mention one "type" of character. For example Maya x Jason, Maya x Bol.... and after some updates, there have been comments like "omg, another update with animations only for Maya, when does character X get animations as well?". Ofc those comments are from people that either don't read the doc properly or did not try the game itself, but then others try to clarify, that most other women in the game are basicly the same character and that they share animations.
So in the end i would argue, it doesn't matter as long as people understand what someone meant, when they refer to charcters, but it is also understandable, if they don't want to repeat themselfs everytime and don't clarify exactly what a character is for them.

If it wasn't clear before, it is now. This guy is just a fanboy. there is nothing we can say to make him admit that wildlife has some flaws.

Does it have good animations? Yes. Good amount of characters and positions? Also yes.
How about gameplay? No, let's talk about something else... *brings up random unrelated argument*

Lol. Im not saying it has no flaws. The performance sucks and its gotten worse, thats a fact.
The game has no story and no quests and its taking painfully long to get there but what they shown in the recent posts is a step in the right direction wouldnt you say?
Hows the gameplay? Almost non-existent and whats there is all over the place. Ok yeah more work there is needed.
You act like youre some sherlock holmes discovering some hidden secret. No shit man the game isnt done yet it doesnt take a high iq to figure that out.
Now if you had to give REAL constructive criticism beyond "improve performance, add story and quests and gameplay, fix bugs and finish the game" what would it be?

He runs Reshade Cinematic DOF on top of it no mask defined it blurs out their Native UI
Why doesn't it surprise me for a guy who has worked for Film seeing that DOF amount
Extra Blur on top Steve really loves Hollywood ;)
And then we Sharpen everything, makes absolute sense first we destroy data than we try to forcing to bring it back, and then we partially destroy it again ;)
Though presenting it this outside changed way hmm is a bit strange not trusting your own internal work or Epics ?

Big post about the lore and the story of the game posted on Patreon around 40 minutes ago.

Wonderful. Single Player is with a human PC only, main release won't even have Kerpali stuff, the Kerpali addon is supposed to be "free" but the wording is vague and it mentions patrons (why would they mention them if it's free for everyone?), Sandbox Mode is "Patreon Exclusive"... I had already assumed I would barely play SP if at all and just use the game as a fancy animation player since I'm only here for the anthro stuff, but this is still even more of a letdown.

Also, if you are still wondering if this game will stay a just a scene viewer, look at this:
Skip the first 44:30minutes that just looks like stream warmup. They talk about the game lore and the featuers planned and answer all sorts of questions that you may also have had.
Okay, so, I'm probably just going to be told to "fuck off, watch it yourself" and with reason, but if anyone did watch it and feels generous, have they mentioned what their plans are for Kerpali and whether they will be actually playable at some point?

Kerpali will not be playable outright, but Adeptus Steve mentioned expressed interest to have DLC-style stories where you get to control Kerpali (with a playtime length of about 2h). Not to mention the sandbox mode where you can control any character you like.

Wildlife already got more money than Subverse. Yet, they only have sex scenes and no gameplay, waifu bonding, etc.
How often does it need repeating until the idiots get it: Throwing more money at something won't make it magically faster! Especially with crowd-funded stuff, where the support can vary. The company behind WildLife already employs over a dozen people, has its own office space and dedicated positions working on different parts of the game, interact with the community and organize the company. You have no idea what they are doing behind the scenes, so how could you possibly think you're able to accurately judge the day-to-day progress they're making. AdeptusSteve expressed time and again that he wants to create the best looking game out there, with no clipping and top-notch animation work. One would think that with that kind of goal, it'd be obvious that they prioritise making sure their back-end is in order before diving into the creation of the story. In the end, it remains as it always has been: If you're unhappy with the progress they're making: stop pledging. But don't come here comparing two entirely different games as if you know what you're talking about.

I have already said it: Make it a game, not a scene selector. If you tried to read and understand instead of fanboying the shit out of the game you probably would have understood the first time I said it.

But don't come here comparing two entirely different games as if you know what you're talking about.

They use the same skeletal model, that doesnt mean the same polygon model. Just look at Rhino and Minotaur, does that look like the same model? Or Karra and Zuri, also very different looking for being the same skeleton. Shey and Jadeen also look like completely different characters. The pigman and the goatman also look totally different. Bol and Frank, different person. Maya and Alissa too. If feel like you want to call those the same character ok go ahead but factually you would be wrong.
You need to understand first the differences between a polygon mesh and textures on said mesh, for example Rhino and Minotaur are just retextures of the same mesh possibly with some slight alterations but they are cut from the same cloth so to speak. Same goes with the vast majority of the humans like all the Maya's and the two Shey's etc, all using the same mesh just different textures.

Nothing wrong with doing this as creating new meshes for each character would be a lot of work not to mention the animation count triples because the different meshes cannot use the same animations as one another hence the reason for most of them sharing the animations because the meshes are all the same so there is no misalignment.

Maybe you need to realize that the only thing you were ever promised is a game that is finished at some point, as long as the funds hold. You were never promised any timeframe to deliver content, nor the order in which content is delivered. If you're not capable of understanding the complexity of game development, don't think that your perceived notion of how fast or slow 'progress', as defined by you, should be made has any merit.

Don't wanna sound racist or something but white Maya looks better and hotter TBH.. I hope they allow character customization in final release.
same but to be clear it doesn't have anything to do with race, I can just see shadows more clearly on a white body than on a black one; At least I think that's why I like it more that way

Maybe I'm asking for something ridiculous here, but I think that if they're really smart, they'll develop a mission builder utility for the game BEFORE getting into heavy development of the main story and let you export missions you make and publish them for download elsewhere.
That would let the community solve their content problems in a hurry and buy them plenty of time for developing their lengthy RPG story.

You aren't dumb but that's neither a trivial task you would need to abstract a good portion of the current quest system into something user friendlier than writing some blueprints and try to get just that part of the blueprint functions out to the user in form of some external editor.

Do you know any Unreal project that ever released a Mod Editor ;) ?

In terms of Unreal you have also some Licensing Hurdles in front of you Epic wouldn't like that ;)

You can rewrite Unreal but in General you aren't allowed to distribute the modifications of Core Engine Parts or UI except they running in the Engine Itself.

It's quiete a complex Lawyer Minefield with Unreal.

They went over this
And then answered a lot of random questions about it, also story, gameplay, personal stuff, production, game releases, patreon, and so on.
Saying you will do something is great and all, but what really matters is if they will or not. Ideas don't really get you far in life if you don't put them into practice.

Not ridiculous at all. But I don't really think the community would be that engaged. Specially if the tools are overly complex. Skyrim, TheSims, etc. had great amount of mods because there are millions of people playing these games. Now, for AO games, there are considerably fewer people playing.

For me, these guys have great skills in animations and models. But they can't integrate game and sex very well. Asking them to integrate gameplay, sex AND mods would make it an even bigger weakness in their product.
