The direction for this game is so misguided. I mean really, no one actually gives a shit about whatever story and scuffed combat system they're going to introduce.
I'm actually open to a story and combat system, as long as they don't go overboard.
So far, the premise of the story is simple, yet effective. You crash land on an island of debauchery. Instead of focusing on getting back to civilization, you succumb to the sexual temptations of the island. It's kind of like the TV show Lost, but a porn version. As you explore the island, you discover perverted places of sin and lust.
The combat system is a means of showing dominance over other males. As long as they don't spend too much time on it, a simple combat mechanic can enhance immersion. It could play well with the BDSM fetish and contribute to establishing social hierarchies. This is mind fuck stuff, the mental aspect that can enhance the visual (porn animation) aspect.
They're finally shifting their focus to Sandbox quality of life improvements. This should make you happy. I know it's making me happy, I can't wait. As soon as I can set multiple animations for different characters, and create one huge orgy, I'm going to sub to their patreon again.
As for story, you knwo what they should do? Make the basic premise, but then create a system where the community can create quests, then share those quests with the community. Then the developers don't have to spend time making story content, instead the community makes the story/quest content and shares it, while the devs can focus on pumping out animations.
Think about it, make a system where the users make the story & quests, then share it, then the devs don't have to worry about that part anymore.
Anyways, I can't wait until the sandbox improvements come out, I'm soo looking forward to it!
