Hey all,
It’s time for the next dev update.
Level: Umbar houses are getting a detailing pass. Rocks and cliffs are getting an additional iteration, material and texture sets for grasslands are done and we are working on the desert and canyon regions next.

Code: Started to do an item and inventory system refactoring and added a small feature to sandbox 2.0 that makes event connections pulse when an event is being called.

Character: We are currently working on a male and female hyena themed Kerpali, you can check the current work in progress of the male here. Additionally we finished the planning for all the faction outfits in the story mode and will begin concepting as soon as possible.

Animations: There are two minigames currently being worked on: Max x Shey boobjob and Maya x Goatmen group scene.
Story: We are releasing lore updates about the various locations on a weekly basis, you can read the last post about the warrior village . Additionally we are working on the finishing touches for the NPC list for the game. Currently sitting on around 130 characters all over Kerpal’s villages and landscapes.

I dunno if this below can be helpful for Wild Life ─ I bet they have their own way to deal with character's body morphing... even if I'm not good with betting and my devastated financial situation proves that! ─ it can be eventually useful for others developing their own first game, eventually.

It's a little tweak I made in UE5, via Blueprint, to achieve some body morphing on Quang Phan's character I bought a few months ago, the G2: Human Base male and female models.
In this case I modify the thighs to achieve that nicely shaped look I particularly like, in the way I've tried to explain in the 2nd picture below.
I did the same even with the breasts achieving a cool pear-shape perky look, in that case, and also with the lower back to make the belly move a little bit forward and shape the spine to give a more African look for a project of mine that takes place in a prehistoric Africa ─ both morphs not shown in the picture.
I had no time to implement this even further because I had to focus on my own locomotion system first and a bunch of other stuff but there should be a way to let the player use those vectors' variables ─ like the ones with the "open eye" icon below, the values are supposed to be not particularly high and should always stay between 0.95 and 1.20/1.25 max to avoid catastrophe ─ to personalize the character's main body features even more with some sliders.
My guess, besides, is that adding virtual bones to specific parts of the skeleton should allow further morphing ─ like... let's say... in order to "increase" some male "penetrative power" accordingly to desire, for example! I'm sure many do wish balls are not the only detail to resize there in between... :sneaky:

Seriously speaking... this message of mine is inspired by reading XyrexDread question/suggestion about "body modifiers"... and despite this is vaguely related I hope was helpful or inspirational.

if you mean custom 3d models not yet (hopefully they add it in the future) - but there is a pretty robust character customization system using the in-game skeletons - you can adjust booba, ass, makeup, clothes, etc.
Files aren't encrypted so in theory someone could take custom 3d model and rig it using their skeleton system. For someone who knows how to that wouldn't be that hard of a task even I reckon.

If you were designing a sandbox porn maker, are you telling me the first thing you would do is make an environment where the end user can code pong? Is that how far gone you are in the head?
What's wrong in that? Also be realistic. Person who did the sandbox features most likely doesn't work on the actual singleplayer content people wait for but is actual software engineer. Not artist or dev flipping assets to build map.

This gives players ability to create their own stuff while they wait for actual game. This probably didn't slow down actual story development at all while giving us actual reason to play the game apart of testing it for few hours every few months.

I aree with your comment.
When I work on a project I must work on other stuff as well, to avoid going crazy. In my 30+ years career in Design and Communication I had to work at 2-3 projects at the same time, sometimes very similar and other time very different projects, sometimes helped by the fact they had different schedules but still developed at the same time.
It doesn't work for everybody but for me and many others it does.
Besides... creating, in a spare time, something apparently futile for the actual project does help as well, in many circumstances, to figure out a new solution or find out a program's feature I didn't know or use till that moment that can save my project if not even my career.
Oh... for all gods of the creative mental processes... I still work and find solutions to my projects' issues, even when washing my dishes and cookware!

When are they going to expand on the story elements of the game? Or the actual main game itself? Their animations are top quality, but IMO the demo village has been wasted potential just sitting there waiting for more content.

Is it currently possible, to set up cameras in the sandbox and then switch between them via a keyboard shortcut, while you posess another character? As in, i set up for example a maya x bol scene and some camera positions around them, then i posses another character and start a scene by talking to a fourth(lets say serenia x corbac). Now i have full manual control over the serenia x corbac scene while the maya x bol scene loops somewhere in the background. Can i now, while the serenia x corbac scene is running, switch to the camera presets around the bol x maya scene, while still having manual control over the other scene?

I wanted to try out, if it is possible to set up several scenes and camera positions and then switch between them while in VR. If so, it might be possible to set up some sort of script/program to create VR/desktop storys, like some sort of (interactive) short movie.
Has anyone tried that yet or any idea how this might work?

PS.: It seems like i can only switch between camera presets with PgUp and PgDn, while i have one of the cameras selected. If i select anything else in the scene or select nothing at all, PgUp/Dn do not work.

Try to find "Experiment With Camera" there is a change of camera and scene, just walking a character along the path. With the possibility of not only forward, but also backward.

I actually am. Sorry to anyone who gets triggered by this but I need to do some of the more niche stuff I like from time to time or I burn out quicker. After making so many hundreds of animations Id like to explore some more special themes you know? I hope I have your permission :HideThePain:

Does anyone know if there's a plan to add more watersports (ahem, peeing) content?

I've been pretty lukewarm about Wild Life so far but with more futa content being added, and finally a watersports scene (albeit with an awful character and mediocre particle effects), I'm starting to think I need to start backing the project.

I did a small scene based on Modern House by Mila07 while playing with camera and events. Did it with delays that triggers next cam by posessing. Unfortunately you can't switch player initially to another guy, so for better experience, possess Morris before starting the scene, or you will walk as Mya and f*ck as Morris ;) Have fun, and don't forget to feedback.

PS: I tried some sleep sex scenes in the backyard, but it didn't went well with physics. Maybe future updates will support p*ssy physics in pose mode.

It seems odd to to me that Player Manager can't be used to hide the player character visibility during this even though it appears to have an option to do such but doesn't function as expected(?) meaning in the background of this scene you see Maya (or Morris if you spawned and possessed) standing there behind them while this scene takes place, unless I'm doing something wrong? xD

omfg will you give it a rest already? You've posted the last two days, that you dont like the fact that one of the developers made pong inside of their sandbox. We get it, you think its stupid, even though this developer could have done that in his free time just to mess around and see if it would work. You almost act like the whole wildlife team works on pong now.

My personal oppinion about it btw., I think its great. Having a sandbox system that can be controlled by the player down to that level makes me excited to see, what others with programming experience will come up with in the future, when there is even more stuff in the sandbox. It could be a great way for others to make their own games/storys with the sandbox and share them, similar to what people already do with something like HoneySelect/TK17 or even short storys made in RenPy by using modded Skyrim.

More stuff for people to get their hands on and mess around with is not a bad thing.

You've stated your subjective criticisms of the sandbox in its current WIP state, visually and in text detail proposed your ideas/suggestions of improving it, now it's up to the CV team to take it or parts of it into consideration for the future.
But I don't see how posting images like that after all you've already said is helping benefit anyone but your own humor?

t. someone that actually agrees with some of what you've said but is growing weary of your personal sandbox dilemmas dragging through multiple pages.
