It would be super great! Coz for now, gamedeveloping, especially ADULT gamedev is muddy water with unknown rules and odd tendencies. And number of "how?","where?","who?" is just overwhelming.
Nah, the thing is - they were just waiting for common empty world with over9000 "go there, kill a wolf, then go back, recieve 100500 shitty rewards." You know like 80% of current soulless "game cntaining products". So yeah, some may be dissappointed they didn't get another modern almost-a-game shit with tons of battlepasses, microtransactions, clown skins and so on and so forth.There was a time when I got quite butthurt about comments and accusations calling us scammers and losers and predicting our project will never be complete.
So just do what you are doing, try to learn from another indi companies - successful and not, and may the Force be with you.
It was true until recent years. Now most of the gamedev companies is cowardly stupid gready impotents who dont give a fuck about game at all.They usually keep this a secret to prevent others from stealing their intellectual property. As a company, you don't want to see competitors making money off your ideas.
Even if you send them 10 super great revolutionary ideas - they just do some dull shit with no style, no plot, no gameplay, but with tons of damn additional ways to milk cash from "players". Coz they just CAN'T.
