Half the comments recently have just been "Oh my god this game is just a glorified pretty animation picker!"

Yes, and? Is that a bad thing? The animations are hot. Especially the gay ones imo. I don't need or want to play several hours of a porn game before I get to the lewd part, I use cheat engine for porn games and look for 100% saves to just get to the shit I'm here for.

We all know that you're here for the porn, don't act like you can't jack it until you play for 3 hours doing fetch quests and back and forth "kill 10 of this thing" murder quests like it's World of Warcraft until whoever you're into drops their panties/boxers/thong/loincloth. Like fuck, at least the "This game is unoptimized and is making my computer melt" comments are actually valid complaints.

Lot of these people don't remember, or aren't aware of, what happened several years ago when Wild Life released an update that removed all the sandbox animation choices, and added in a very basic fetch quest system with sex as a reward at the end. Everyone hated it. It was fucking abysmal. Do they really want to go back a system like that???

2B's Hair. Don't extract. Put the zip in your "SandboxSaveGames\AutoImport" folder. Then launch the game.

Default as Player Follow object, so it will auto attach your current player when spawned.
If you want to use it in a sex scene, spawn the scene first, then attach the group object (under the PlayerFollower) to the scene.
Pick attachment point as Head, use the right character index, then reset Position and Rotation of the group object, and it should be all set.

Original game model ripped from the game (I didn't rip it though). Credits to Platinum Games for all original assets.

Most likely they trusted UE5 to be somewhat "consequential" to the previous one, but it's clearly not the case.
I don't feel like blaming them, but they should have updated the old one as well and put this one out for testing only.

Basically it's a "see you next month" for that particoular matter

This is reminding me of the multiple times some angry people tried saying that making gay animations and furry characters (and gay animations for the furry characters, that pissed them off the most, obviously) was "wasting vaulable development time/resources" (Which can be translated to: "I'm very angry that gays and furries are in this game despite them telling me over and over again before I pledged that gays and furries would be in this game, so instead of looking like an idiot for complaining, I'm going to concern troll and say I'm just "worried about development time/resources/manhours being used on it")

To be fair, based on all the trailers, footage and the big following for Wild Life people's expectations are very high, they expect something special. Which it is, but with a big caveat that goes against the expectations. The caveat obviously being that the game is almost 100% sandbox playground. Lot of people get disappointed by that, saying stuff like "wait, that's it?" or they are very confused like "I started up the game but the map is empty, please help". Those people caught wrong expectations, what can you do? However, devs are starting work on the story driven part of the game this year, which should solve the expectations mismatch eventually. Hopefully in 2024 nobody will be confused anymore.

That is one of the things I learned recently about indie projects and patreon games in general - you never know what you get because content can change a lot from one update to the next. I have seen it here quite a lot, devs adding a strong fetish tag out of nowhere (ntr tag is a big offender here), pushing characters and story into wild new directions (Slutcraft comes to mind) or the gameplay makes a complete 180 degree turn into something else entirely. It has it's pros and cons, though the pros are massively on the devs side and we can only hope for the best. That being said, this advantage has made me thinking about starting my own patreon journey as a dev or at least a content creator, the freedom to release what you want must be nice, as opposed to being stuck in one lane with your project.

It is apparently not enough for the people who like story driven porn games to have the overwhelming majority catering to them, no, it must be all games.

I have to say that I'm pretty hyped for the direction this game is taking, as thus far it's the best sandbox porn game I've ever played. I hope they lean even harder into filling this particular niche.

from a marketing standpoint this is the best they could focus since player creativity is the best source of long term motivation.

a good story and game are no bad thing, dont get me wrong, but theres only so much u can get out of a linear story unless its an open world with building, crafting and side quests to keep u entertained otherwise. sandbox is a building mode though so in the end an ingame building feature with ressource farming would probably be a downgrade.

personally i can still see many ways to improve sandbox and make it even more interesting. we already have many people creating "games" or visual novels with illusion "games". steve and his team just need to give us more options to customize characters without breaking the skeletons/scenes and at some point i could see wildlife's sandbox being good for stuff like that too.

if we also had some more "freedom" for animations that would literally be the icing on the cake or stuff like getting rid of the cumshot/climax as a fixed part of certain animations and simply making it an option to select for every scene.
