It was a pain to browse 70+ pages just to find all the sandbox maps nice people here have created and shared for us.
To save others from similar hassle I created a list of all maps/scenes posted since the release of the new sandbox.

I hope this helps, work smarter not harder. :WeSmart:
can update it?

Holy crap, this game is still stuck in Early Access hell. At this point, just come out and admit: 'We're riding the Gravy Train.' Most people wouldn’t even be mad.

We still get plenty of hate even tho its almost entirely contained within this thread. Among many other reasons, I assume its from people who havent made any effort to familiarize themselves with our project and know nothing of the recent developments. At some point something rubbed them the wrong way and the hate has since prevented them from seeing our progress now.

Here are some open-world adult games I know of that share similarities with Wild Life:
  • Carnal Instinct
  • Breeders of the Nephelym
  • Wicked Island
  • The Last Barbarian
The list could certainly be longer, but since we're specifically focusing on open-world adult games(not sandbox titles), I've excluded most others, such as COM3D2. I've also left out games that may qualify as open-world but differ significantly in visual style or presentation, like Mad Island.
i think your answer is the proof i was right
- wicked island: abandonned. buggued like hell (including critical bugs) super repetitive combats, and sex scenes. terrible NPC animations. very average sex scenes
- breeders of the nephilym: the tentacle has traumatized me. its animations were so bad. sex scenes were bugguey. sometimes with several character overlapping each others. when i played that game i had the feeling the game didn't pass the alpha stage. I still didn't know what the quests were all about
- last barbarian: tested it a bit. looks like a dungeon exploration game. repetitive enemies. very basic combat system. played only 30 min and came across salty bugs including game breaking ones. basically a dungeon, get caught, get f..d game. not really an open world to me. also the atmosphere is particular and may not please to all tastes
- carnal desires: played it a bit to have an idea. the map seems big, but is in fact quite empty. quests and objectives are difficult to find and achieve. roamed the map like 30 min and couldn't engage any sex. no npc roaming the streets, or very few. the textures are high res, but turn my PC into an oven. streets are detail low. apart from the high res textures there's not much to contemplate. also saw only monsters. no humans. which won't suit to everyone. f..g a lizard can be funny, but i'm not sure this what most people are looking for
I can only conclude that real open worlds are pretty rare in porn games . that doesn't surprise me regarding the amount of money, and knowledge about the subject needed to make them

Me in 2019 (approximately) - I launch the game. Max is standing by a crashed helicopter and I need to get through the jungle to the rest of my team. The jungle is nice, there is a section with a fight, a stealth section, you need to climb rocks and collect medicinal flowers. I find the team - there is a sex party on the beach between different species, Kerpali and people dance, have fun and have sex.

Me in 2025 - I launch the game, I see a huge, flat and empty as a table map. Some textures are missing, some objects are placeholder cubes. I watch a cutscene in which the characters move in T-poses and speak without opening their mouths. I find myself in a huge world in which there is nothing to do and nothing to see. 10 real minutes to run from one NPC to another.

I'm not sure if all the work you guys did to rework the beginning of the game was worth it. No, in terms of dragging out the process it was worth it, but the result looks mediocre. What's especially funny is that there are fan maps in the discord, created using the game's own tools, but they are filled with much more content.

The result? When have we said we are finished? Thats wishful thinking by a bunch of delulus in here who just want us to "FINSH THE GAME RIGHT FUCKING NOW" as if the remaining shit left to do is just sitting on our shelves just waiting for us to click the "finish game" button. Thats a level of willful misinformation I see no point in dealing with.

Funny. So you admit that there is no even approximate deadline for the project's completion? In all these years, you have not come any closer to a more or less complete state of the game? Are you going to rework the fishing village 2-3-5 more times in the next 10 years? I had no doubt about it, thanks for the confirmation))

  1. Wicked Island is not abandoned.
  2. Breeders of the Nephelym doesn't have "buggy" sex scenes, I should know, I actually finished it just a few months ago.
  3. The Last Barbarian is far more than just a simple dungeon crawler; its combat system is leagues ahead of Wild Life's completely nonexistent one.
  4. Carnal Instinct, on the other hand, is what a proper open-world adult RPG looks like during development. The developers of Wild Life could learn a thing or two from that team about how to build an actual game. And I honestly don't care if you struggled to find objectives or if it pushed your PC's temps, because if that happened, so did Wild Life, both run on the same engine with similar visuals and lighting setups. Complaining about an unfinished but actual game while giving a pass to Wild Life, which is barely even a game, makes zero sense. You do realize all of the titles I mentioned are real, playable games, while Wild Life is essentially just a glorified sandbox, right? By the way, it's not Carnal Desires, it's Carnal Instinct. The fact that you couldn't even get the name right speaks volumes about how little attention you actually paid to it. That also explains why you had trouble finding objectives or quests, you clearly weren't paying enough attention in the first place.
Frankly, it feels like you're bending over backwards to defend Wild Life, and it's starting to show, especially when so many of the claims you've made are blatantly incorrect.

I wonder what could've possibly rubbed them the wrong way. Let me take a wild guess, could it be…
  • Promising an open world adult RPG for over 8 years and still failing to deliver anything close to it.
  • Rebuilding the same map for the millionth time for no discernible reason.
  • "Upgrading" the engine as if the old one suddenly stopped working, despite it running fine, and ending up with worse performance and zero benefit from the new engine's capabilities.
  • Adding pointless "sandbox content" like redundant animations or niche features only a handful of people in your Discord even care about, despite already having more than enough animations to fill three games.
  • Going out of your way to do literally anything but develop the actual game, like wasting energy defending yourself on forums instead of just using that energy to finish what you promised 9 years ago.
  • Posting endless "updates" and vague "progress reports" that rarely translate into real, tangible progress toward completing the game. Simply saying "we're working on it" doesn't magically turn smoke and mirrors into a functioning product. Actions speak louder than words, and real action leaves visible results. Yet after all the so called progress, the promised game still isn't here. In fact, it's not even close.
But what do I know? I'm just thinking out loud here...

Oh, and one last thing. Your recent efforts don't magically erase the fact that you've been doing all of the above for the past 9 years. I'd strongly suggest not using those recent efforts as a shield to deflect criticism, or to paint everyone calling you out as "misinformed haters". People aren't upset without reason, they're reacting to nearly a decade of broken promises and questionable priorities.

Guys Im confused. Doesnt a ship build mean the game is done? why are there so many updates after their first ship build?
Unreal engine games typically have two states: test/dev, and "shipping". Shipping just means the EXE is reasonably stable and bundled with the dev tools disabled; it doesn't mean the game itself is completed. So a "test" build for Wild Life means that some stuff is newly implemented and may not jive with what's already in the game, e.g. the addition of a new quest might break a data type for another one. A "shipping" build just means those errors have been corrected (at least, the ones that are identified and known) and the game is at a milestone where it can at least be operated by an end-user without significant issues. Or put another way, "test = potentially unstable, shipping = mostly stable". Both can still represent an incomplete product.

Same story every build, people more keen on complaining rather than play the game.
I guess if they actually were to see the progress they might not be able to complain anymore, so better not.
