I'm not looking to criticize your business at all, I think you guys are alright, but the moment you take money from people and give them a build in exchange then that's the same as selling a product to my eyes. That's a pretty important distinction I make and no amount of "it's not even alpha" will change that

To many gamedev create penetration animation frame-by-frame, since objects are right inside each other, is there really no tool for auto interaction between objects? (In VAN it seems automatized.)

VAM operates on different principles, it can use keyframes like traditional animations but it can also be animated using physical interactions between objects, this however requires very precise and thus taxing collision calculations, something that can be done on CPU easily but with large hit to performance or on GPU, which isn't as easy but doable (see Nvidia PhysX or any other GPU accelerated physics calculations).

Limited collisions could be applied to the objects that are most likely to interact but then you'd have to restrict some motions to not ruin immersion when you notice you can clip bodies through each other if they touch in places where collissions aren't applied, lastly if no constraints are implemented it's very easy to break those physics, resulting in jittery motion, objects poping out from their intended location (for example a penis poping out from vagina through the body or just being rejected or just wrong collission calculation resulting in the model stretching so bad it breaks all physics and crashes the game, happens with VAM and other soft body physics games like beamNG, stuff getting stretched so thin it stops being visible).

Overall doable, but not easy.

PS. You know what optimization is - it's when your PC can't handle a round anus and it becomes square.

You do realise that by that rule of 3 half of the actual Patrons of the game would be locked out of the game, thus slowing A LOT the deving process and so on right? You simply shouldnt need to have an Aventador's engine as your PC to run a game unless we are talking about some VR instensive and exclusive shit, which EVEN THEN you dont require such over-beefy PC to do so lol

You're looking at patreon as a product service while it's not. It can be, but mainly it's a 'donations with privileges' platform, regardless of creators using it to actually sell stuff. You donate and in return, as a thank you depending on the size of your donation, you get a bonus from the creator. In this case, you get a peak and the ability to test new builds as they come along.

Cool. We'll wait for several years ..... 10 years. Meanwhile, the entire Carnal Instinct trilogy comes out, so there's nowhere to hurry.

Sorry Steve. No really. You keep doing a great job.
What's most fascinating about WL is that you really look at the aesthetics of the characters ..such a "real-feel"..believable.
A lot of creators prefer cheap US-porn-extreme-proportion-plastic-boobs-overdesign-heavy-makeup style (I know, good sells), but good old Europe wins with "natural" style.

Do you remember Outcast? Maybe not..European classic, unfortunately it didn't do very well commercially, because it was a very "smart" game for Americans. But for that time (1998 I think) a real true open-world with almost no limits, it was possible to start quests anywhere, (almost) in any order, a funny protagonist, a bit Stargate style, a world full of living NPCs (no NPCs as decorations, two sentences and then " leave me alone, I'm busy"). I think it was from Belgian developers. Real classic. WL Demo resembles that style..Maybe you can take inspiration from it...If you have some free time.

There's precedence of legally owing the product to your supporters because, well, they paid money with the explicit intent of getting something out of it.

You and I both know that 99% of patreons don't use patreon as a donation platform, but rather as a subscription model to get access to very specific content. To my eyes that's literally the same as selling a product, and claiming otherwise is just trying to avoid responsibilities IMO.

I agree 100%. As you said "rather as a subscription model to get access to very specific content". And in the case of WL i would say that the specific content subscribers pay for is the access to the very early stages of development. I don't think the WL team ever mentioned that by supporting them, patrons will have access to a completed game, or a completed story, or even a working, fledged out program whatsoever. It's exactly as advertised and sometimes we get an update that rocks, and others, one that is buggy, lags, crashes etc because that is what "development stage" means.

The big problem with gofile is that it manages to use ALL your bandwith as in you can't do anything as it downloads, no videos no nothing, browser pages won't even load it uses that much bandwith....which you can argue is a pretty fast way but still not doing anything for me as it downloads is a bit of a pain

That's crazy bro your bandwith must be insanely low, I've had a twitch stream running for drops on max quality, a different download running, and netflix streaming a 4k nature documentary. While using GoFile to download 2 different files as a test to your comment here.
It sounds like you're just a cracked egg in the carton and need some special help
