Noooooo you don't know how hard it is to develop a game. Plus they are poor people an need like trillions of dollars and billions of years to make a game, that's just how hard it is. By the way have you seen the new update? We can create animations ourselves, meaning do the work of developers for them! How cool is that?! This alone totally justifies 7+ years of development!
I know you are being sarcastic but I do know how hard it is to create games, I'm a game developer myself. The difference is that I'm just one single person and that I do that in my free time while they have 10 people working fulltime on it (don't know if that is still the case, I read that somewhere a few years ago). Though, working on 3D games is also ten times harder than what I do.
I think the problem is that they are too overambitious. It also looks like they do most of the things from scratch so that's a tons of work, even for 10 ppl. But I think they also have wrong priorities.
All the public really gets to see each update are: -Added 500 new animations, tons of new clothes, new characters and a lot of behind the scenes/technical changes or changes to the editors. I feel like there are more than enough animations in the game at this point, please hire more people to work on something else lol.
I also could have done without an Animation editor and a Sandbox editor, maybe they could have added that after the game was done or something?
The game could still turn out great eventually... in another 7 years. But I don't believe in it at this point.
