You do realise that most creators don't fap to their own stuff, right? If you'd spend hours, days or weeks on something its not that much of a turn on anymore.

Customary quarter-of-a-year-and-still-nothing complaining comment to follow, skip if expecting anything else.
Man... I remember the time around last October when he announced the coding is done. The coding is done, only rendering remains! But it would take some time, weeks and months possibly, it's a long video, should he outsource it to a rendering farm or build his own, cost-benefit analysis... But it is done, the P3 is done, expect it by the end of the year of 2020, full audio and everything, everyone aboard the hype train!
Had I forgotten about it around Christmas and just happened to stumble upon here today, I would not have, never ever, believed he hasn't released a single thing by mid-June of 2021. Unbelievable.

well he did post some tentacle animation no one asked for and some kind of "teasers" of upcoming gatekeeper parts that are probably more like part 4 or 5 since he said somewhere some time ago part 3 will be a blowjob scene. so all the vaginal or anal teasers are probably for stuff thats coming in 5 years or so

At this point ZMSFM or RadeonG3D might just make a Gatekeeper themselves if they plan to. ZMSFM is doing a beast anim with lara and Radeon did that 3 min test animation with her.
But you know... it's cool... shit happens... where only going into 7+ months delays.
Wildeers' goal was also to create a proper studio no?
Hopefully he hires someone before he starts the next project. One person that does fluids, animation, physics, lighting and sound? if he does it? is alot for one person to do and would benefit from hiring additional help.
Bulgings hires a sound designer and a freaking pornstar lol. I'm not bashing Wildeer it's just a lot of things for one dude to do. IMO

As for Wildeer, I want him to succeed so badly. His Lara model is basically the best thing to happen to 3D. Early last year, I saw worrying signs of mismanagement. He was making 10K a month and was still working on only one machine. He was posing during the day and rendering at night. When it was hot in his flat, he wouldn't even render at night. That's astoundingly bad. He should have immediately invested his profit from a few months into his own render farm. Instead, he simply said that he couldn't afford it. He was looking at commercial render farms to use though, not building his own.
I just don't think the guy has any business sense. I have no idea why the delays are happening, but he should have hired some help if he's out of his depth. Has he ever tried to tell his Patron's where he is spending his money?
For real though, I wish him all the best and I hope he can turn things around.

Hired some pornstar to do motion capture. No idea how that will work.
And the model refuses to pose for the gatekeeper....
The problem is communication, without that, every theory could be the right one, creating only so much displeasure..

If you read carefully, they're talking about another animator who hired a porn star and not Wildeer
thats exact opposite of my own experience. porn is not externally synthesized drug, u dont develop immunity.
Heat excuse sounds really lame, it's not summer all year around and even if you live in some desert it gets really cold at night. If the gfx stock cooling sux then adding water cooling system, even premium one including installation wouldn't go much over 10k.
The thing about something you're making yourself, like a game, video, or illustration, is that you're busy with making it look good and you see all the flaws in it. That certainly would make it more difficult to get aroused by. But each person is different, so who knows. I've heard more often than not that creators don't jerk off to their own stuff, though.
And I do think desensitization actually is a factor as well. Again, everyone is different, but I think I've noticed in myself that certain stuff that did the trick in the past doesn't get me excited as easily any more. And being exposed to it for entire work weeks long will do that too, I think.
