Blimey guys you don't hang around do you! Nice work, let me address some of the comments:
How much content would you say there is at the moment?
Also what kind of content is planned for this one?
Right now there are several story characters you can talk to who occasionally might hint at things or do some small exhibitionist things but mainly they are there for story right now. The actual 'content', by which I'm assuming you mean porn content, is limited to the 3 humans you can feed upon. You can right now see all of their 'routines' by enthralling them and 'feeding' upon them.
I plan to have many more humans, probably adding 3-4 to each 0.1 release as I go to keep things interesting.
As for your fellow vampires all will find themselves influenced by you and eventually will start 'showing off' to you and eventually allowing you to fuck them (some may become unavailable depending on story choices along the way, but in general) So there should be voyeurism, exhibitionism and eventual physical contact when I get there.
Got an error upon running out of time wandering the house late at night and being sent to bed. Tried to cut and paste it but failed. I will try to recreate it.
EDIT:
Code:
Error: <<nightUpdate>>: error within widget contents (Error: <<resetHumans>>: error within widget contents (Error: <<set>>: bad evaluation: State.variables.humans[State.temporary.rg] is undefined))
OK cheers I'll look into that, was this whilst at the family home or in the city?
Talking to Auntie in her bedroom
Hmm, think that 'C' on the end of that variable is a mistake I'll take a look. Thanks.
Thank you for making an HTML game that doesn't have transformation or sissification!
No worries! I'm not sure why certain engines seem to become favoured by different content communities, they can all do pretty much whatever you want! Personally I go HTML as I don't have to worry too much about PC/Mac/Linux provided I remember my casing of filenames, ah and becuase I enjoy finding ways to do graphical effects with CSS #nerd!
When I use the "Your Info" tab, way down at the bottom it says "Cash: $ $player.cash "
EDIT: I seem to be stuck. My "To Do" is "What's your sister up to in the conservatory ?"
I shuttle back and forth between the library to kill some time reading and the conservatory, but she doesn't show up.
OK, sounds like the Cash is showing up before it should, I'll look into that. Shouldn't cause you any gameplay issues as you will have some before you need any.
As for the sister in the conservatory, odd, she should always appear there late afternoon, there is some randomness there, but not much. I'll see if anything can go wrong with that. I do need to add other ways to skip time whilst wandering around the house, especially whilst there is not too much to do there yet.
If it's like online girl, the amount of effort to content ratio is probably too much for my tastes.
Sorry to hear that, I would say you can get to the interesting content (as it exists at this point) much quicker than you could in Online Girl, but yes I enjoy playing games where you have to develop relationships first so that's the sort of game I make.
I enjoyed Online Girl and the genre is very much up my alley. I'm quite looking forward to this. Thanks rudeboyuk!
Cool! I hope you enjoy the direction on this one.
This game sure has style. Not a style I much care for, but it does have it. In terms of gameplay it's a pretty standard HTML game, but with a lot less porn than you would expect from a porn game. Maybe that will be added later, but from playing online girl, it will be a whole lot of text and grinding for little payoff. Since most of the current content revolves around the vampire backstory, I wouldn't bother with this unless you happen to be into that sort of thing.
Specific complaints: I found the navigation annoying, a map would definitely work wonders. In fact simply progressing through the game is a bit confusing. If you're going to hold the player's hands and tell them to do X, then do Y, then do Z, with no actual player input - why not just tell the whole introduction as a short story, instead of it being "playable"? It added nothing, especially the times I had to just skip time until the next event.
Thanks for the feedback, yeah the genre choice is of course going to limit my audience but I liked the idea personally and I find it best to have some personal drive to ensure I can keep my enthusiasm up. I would say it's probably not as 'vampiry' as one might expect, in fact as the game is formulating I can see it's going to be some weird vampire/sopranos cross over feel!
Sorry you found Online Girl lacking in content, it was my first game in Twine so I limited it quite a lot. This time I'm aiming higher contentwise so hopefully things will be more rewarding with this game. For a start there isn't a single focus
on a certain girl this time, and the player will be able to pick and choose 'conquests' to a certain degree.
A map is not a bad idea, I have the house layout in my head so I guess I don't think about it personally. I'll see about getting one added you can bring up so you have a better idea of where to go to get to wherever, both for the home and once you get to the city.
The idea of the ToDo is more of a guide as to how to progress the story, but there are other things you can do along the way that are not on there so I wanted to allow players to discover them on their own terms . Admittedly there is less to do in the family home right now than I originally envisioned, I rushed through this somewhat, other than hitting story points, as I wanted to get to the core of the game and get some systems in place so I knew what I would be working with long term. I definitely intend to revisit the Family Home/Town at some point and flesh out that skeleton more. Probably after version 0.2 is completed, as I should have all my building blocks in place at that point. There is indeed way too many instances right now where you need to 'skip time' without having anything fun to do.
