If you'd like to know more, come to chat about the game, discuss Roman history and see what's up as I work on the game.

Retired centurion turned space Top Gun under space Rome vs space China? This sounds exactly like the kind of fever dream I’d stay up for

I would hate to have reviews like "Loved their old games, not a lot here but 5 stars because I have no critical thinking skills!"

I'm not sure what you mean "not a lot here"; there's 3-4 hrs worth of content (at least), 38 ingame days, 8 sex scenes, and a fully built sandbox with tons of activities, as well as 30+ days worth of side content.

That's... pretty hefty for a first public build.

Plus the combat system and racing minigame. A solid chunk of game. Plus 2 full chapters is between 33% and 40% of the first game depending on whether you go 6 or 5 chapters. This is definitely not a small first demo like a lot of other devs do.

"no critical thinking skills" were the keywords, not the hyperbolic strawman

Don't think my manual save from act 1 with the side content done was returned to the right day for the start of act 2. Is there a way to fix that?

Time for the Roman empire to learn to use chopsticks and enjoy yellow fever
I'm down for the Yellow fever side of things, at least :) There's a number of Asian ladies both in the game, and more coming for Act III.

You should be able to load from a previous day via the load from day menu. The game creates an autosave at the start of every new day.

It auto-saves each morning; just go to Load/Load from Day. End of Act I was day 17, so Day 18 will be correct.

Otherwise if you're on day 40 or something, but haven't actually played Act II's content, go to the debug menu (Ctrl+J), go to the Cheats screen, and force it to day 18. I had forgotten that was a thing, I should probably go add it :)

The name of this game annoys me. That's just not how to English.
if you'd bother to look at the game, you'd see it's more of an ad-literam translation from latin (think Spartacus, the old tv show). old latin is more contextual based (we learned this in 7th grade in Europe), as opposed to new latin (aka after 500 AD, which is what the US teaches) so it actually makes a lot more sense without "the". take a look at the calendar, or military ranks, or the forms of salute. it was something we suggested back in the early days of development as it would make sense and make the game somewhat unique. if anything, seeing odd, rare details like this is more in-line with what i expect from Droid Productions.

PS: not sure if Droid put that much thought into it or it's just my wishful thinking. it's a win for me, anyway.
