Wolf RPG - Completed - Wings of Roldea [v1.20.8.1] [Waterspoon]

I actually did find that game to be enjoyable, but there are quite a few black points to me :

Pros :
- The rape actually feel like rape.
- The map system is actually kinda well thought, in that the NPCs actually serve a purpose of telling you about places you could go, or how to go to them (For example, a NPC can tell you that if you go north on a route, you'll reach a new city, and within that city there are new things to do and find).
- Clothing system. It may sound like a stretch, but having the choice to personalize your character and mix multiple clothing articles is a very big plus.
- Day/Night system that can change NPCs and enemies you find.
- The combat system. It seems simplistic, and it is, one attack that consume SP, another that consume MP, and that's it. However, it's real time combat, and i found some to be interesting in how some enemy behaves, i had some enemies juke me pretty hard by making me think they'd come close for me to strike, for them just to backtrack slightly and dodge it. It's also not the computer reading the input, enemies do that by themselves even without strikes.
- The leveling system. It makes sense. A swordsman doesn't become a master swordsman because he alloted points. He become a master swordsman because he trained.

Cons :
- Lack of a quest log. I only just remembered i had a quest with a succubus by randomly stepping into the area where she is. It can be tedious to find and follow quests.
- The porn is ... repetitive. So far i've found only a handful of different sex iterations : being used a sex object in a brothel, tentacle rape, consensual sex, outdoor sex, 6+ gangbang, and humanoid rape, all of them with different animations depending of the number of participants and "placed used". I'm pretty sure there's more, i'd be surprised if there weren't, but so far i haven't seen them. Even some one time event can be redundant to what's happening in the overworld.
- Character is expressionless. Her nation has been invaded, her mentor left behind ? No thoughts. She's been raped repetidly for 7 days and 7 nights ? Don't care.
- The leveling system. Yeah it make sense, but it's tedious as hell to level up.
- Spells are hard to aim and sometimes it doesn't realy make sense what their hitbox is.

Overall i liked it, i didn't finish it yet, but it's okay. I still recommend it.

I didn't get too far in this one.
The gameplay was nothing special, I'm more interested in sex scenes.
Yes, you get raped, in a variety of ways. But it's missing the reaction from your MC. It's like you're playing an emotionless NPC that doesn't even react to the horrific things that happened to her. You get gangraped by goblins for days, then just dust yourself off and keep adventuring like it never even happened. There's no immersion, which is entirely the reason people play porn games.

you know... these 5 stars reviews.... most of them are kinda biased, like come on.... anyways Let me tell you what ur getting into if your playing this.

TL DR only gud thing? game captures rape very well. funny thing? the reviews.

1st of all, boring combat. all you do is just press shift and the A button sometimes. n e x t.

2nd, the odd choices of this game, from the dungeons to the enemies and just the general mechanics? why did they feel the need to make the mc piss?
but thats just a small thing. dont mind it. But you have to give credit for them to have an actual time system, since it changes the enemy which i think is a interesting idea or hell even a cool concept. too bad it cant save the boringcombat.

3rd, w h a t t h e f u c k is this stat system. am i playing a simulator? this is one of those games where the devs decided. hm yes. i rather not let my players just level up! instead! they get to level up after doing this thing! repeatly!
G E N I U S!! so to train sword u stab things, to train defense u get stabbed while getting high on potions* and to train dex u steal shit.
But the worst part? it takes f o r e v e r. l e g i t. like you should make a macro and go run 3 laps aroiund your neighbourhood and come back.

4th and the only thing i can praise? is the rape aspect. the game captures it very nicely. like it actually feels forced. cause you know? its rape? its non consent? unlike 99% of the game where its more like: oh noo~~ i fell~~~ would be a shame~~~ if someone ****** and ******** and then ************ me.

But Nah this game is like: capture girl, fuck da girl. whats next? FUCK da GIRL.Whats next? F U C K D A G I R L. whats next you ask? oh u wont believe it. FUC- oh wait she passed out.

anyways, FUCK DA GIRL. and she wants to escape from being a sex slave? well too bad. cuz its R N G. and if you dont have the W I R E or the L U C K or the T H I E F S T A T. you are getting fucked. quite literally and metaphorically. but you can always just load a save file. good fucking luck trying to roll without any dex stat.

I played this game for 4 years ago (knew this game from XNXX ), and I just play it again cuz there isn't any quality game can fit my taste
I don't have any word to describe, just play and enjoy it fellas. GG

The H-scenes are fantastic (non-consensual obviously) and fully animated, definitely the best part about the game. I rate 4/5 only because the quest progression can be glitched really quickly, leaving you to wonder how the hell you are supposed to progress.

Ohhh, and, for those stealth game fans who like to progress the game without letting the main female protagonist get horribly abused, you have some kind of a virginity barrier which has like, 10 lives or something, at a shop you can pay to restore the barrier fully, so you can have anal and oral H-scenes hundreds of times, and remain a virgin at the same time, which is absolutely hilarious.

I really wish there were bug-free quest progression, that's the ONLY reason I leave a rating of 4/5.

Great all around, my personal favourite part was the character customization using different outfit parts you find at each shop to make a design unique to you. My only gripe is that the dungeons are pretty boring and maze-like, which are somewhat tedious.
On a guided casual 100% run with some decent time spent messing around with different outfits, I got about 10 hours. Its not too hard to level up or buy all the upgrades, I just spent about 30 minutes or so in the beginning grinding transport quests at the barracks to get some easy beginning money to upgrade the sword a bit. Skill levels progress well naturally, theres no point grinding them besides maybe lockpicking, but its pretty inconsequential.
This game is far longer and more frustrating without a guide. Play with the guide like I did, there's no quest log and some of the quest requirements are pretty obtuse. There is some back and forth busy work which is a bit annoying, but its all pretty short so its not too bad.

Considering the rating and what I heard about it, I expected a lot more, but it is meh at best.
Story is...Wait. There is a story?
Characters...Protagonist is just a blank state. Your average self-insert protagonist has more personality.
Quests are awful because there is no quest log. You can get the feeling you literally have nothing to do even though you are far from finishing the game since it can be so hard to find what you are supposed to do next.
The RPG part is pretty weak. Then again, in the combat, you can only do two things: using your sword or using the one spell you have equipped. Yes, one spell. Combat isn't worth talking about really.
Yet, you'll have to do a lot of combat, because going through those "dungeon" is a real waste of time. It's ok at first but gets boring quick.
As for the H part...Meh. You could remove it from the game and it wouldn't matter. It's mostly sex on losing. I found myself skipping the little H content there was because it was boring.

I have played this game a while back so my opinions might not be too fresh. But i remember having fun memories of this game.

Positives:
+It has pretty unique gameplay. From exploring the dungeons to fighting enemies this game really doesn't feel like a generic japanese h-rpg.

+There is good amount of character customization, you can change the mcs hair, clothes and such.

+The art is pretty cute in my opinion and mc makes cute sounds.

+This game actually has a story. And it's adequate for a h-game, it doesn't feel generic or boring.

+This game also has some sort of a chatbox that displays all the stuff happening. It's especially nice during a h-scene.

+The game actually gives you a protection spell. So if you want to keep the mc virgin you absolutely can. It's actually pretty hard to make her lose her virginity when it's active.

+This game has amazing Ui and Atmosphere along with a great open world.

Negatives:
-Now this is probably an issue on my half. But i couldn't get a different ending. Now i don't want to spoil it but you have to face off an enemy in the end. Regardless if won or not i got the same ending despite the dialogue saying the opposite. Like i said this might be because i didn't get some items or something like that. But i remember getting stuck here.

-From what i remember in this game armor or clothes are purely cosmetic. I remember getting a set of armor after winning in the arena, and not remembering it affecting her defense.

This game feel's very unique around very similar japanese rpgmaker games.And for that i believe it deserves 5 stars.

in this case is the first one, this game is amazing it has excellent cg and sprite animations
it can get really confusing to get trough the story but you dont need to 100% the game to get al the H content

The game to me is really special, despite it's age it creates a recipe for a female protagonist game which is sadly nowhere to be found nowadays but works incredibly well: freedom, dark atmosphere, controllable sex scenes, simple yet engaging combat system, wide variety of clothes which ACTUALLY change the visuals of the cg's etc. These mechanics are so well integrated into the game, which is why despite it's age it still has so many fans even nowadays. Other than that, the only thing I can critizise about the game are the dialogues, since these are held way too simple inside the scenes and would change much of the sexiness during scenes, but this doesn't hold it back to be in my eyes the BEST female protag game on this website.

I urge you to try this game out because this is the perfect execution of this type of game and something many game devs should strife for.

Overall a great game with simple gameplay mechanics. This games story is non existent, only the very basics are here, the gameplay is also basic but unlike the story, its fun!
The most defining features of this game are its dress up mechanics and its sexual scenes, both of them are excellent, no doubt about that.

I really wanted to like this but the gameplay just falls flat.

Most of your time will be spent running around a maze of empty rooms killing color swaps of the same enemies. Halfway through I was more interested in just finding the damn exit portal to proceed than engaging in combat. The combat is basically just a game of keep away as you stab them from 2-3 tiles away then run to repeat that process again. It's very boring. Do they even mix-match enemies within the same floor? No, you're fighting the same enemy throughout the entire floor and maybe even the next 2-3 floors while looking for a glowing circle.

Quest progression in this game is like a crap shoot. I had no idea where to go most of the time and just kept going to different areas hoping something would happen. To progress one quest you have to talk to some random unmarked NPC at a bar who doesnt say anything much until you complete some arbitrary dungeon. There are no hints to this. Um, okay????? It doesn't feel like this shit was well thought out.

Damn shame about the gameplay because it seemed like it would be right up my alley with the customization and combat, but it just trips over itself.

This game is totally fun if you're searching a balance between a good gameplay and h-scenes. Also, this game has official english translated version which makes it better because you don't have to manually install MTL, and it's easier to understand what is happening with this translation. Gameplay is simple and easy to understand. Gallery access is very instant, you can access the gallery anytime while playing story mode.

this game is really good, prolly one of the best h-games i played here. So good that i feel like it's wrong if i don't give it a rating (this is the first game i've given a rating in this site)

what i like abt the game:
- kuudere
- art is good
- i can see what the mc looks like in my screen
- combat is not turn based (mirror world was fun)
- h is optional, and u won't feel like u have to carry an elephant if u don't do h, but well the h-content is nice so i'll do it anyway hahaha
- lots of clothes/armors and ur not forced to wear armor for stats(or forced to be naked) coz clothes/armor dun have stats
- it's open world, just have to find stuff
- there's sex stats, i dunno why but i get excited when i see sex stats
- story is decent
- 'constant moaning'

what i don't like abt the game:
- pregnancy content is kinda lacking, but pregnancy is not even on the sex stats so i think the game is not even intended to have one.
- lack of hairstyles
- some quests are bit vague, but well it's boring if everything is linear, so this is a good thing, i guess?
- sprites are decent, but i think it could be better

i wish there's more of this type of h-games

(first off install the difficulty mod HERE and grab a clean NG+ save HERE as the default game is too easy)

while the game can get very confusing and a little tedious i still enjoyed it. scenes are decent. animated standing character image is nice. there are a TON of clothes options for your char which is nice. story was boring and confusing, the way you collect endings is strange. a lot of the maps turn into tedious labyrinths.

Pretty good rpg, and it's not turn based or Jrpg!

I'm glad I found this scrolling through the animated category, and oh boy, it exceeded my expectation.

Decent story, nice mechanism, very fluid animation, beautifully drawn art... and yes, panting sound hnnngh. Definitely worth a try!

With a New Game+, this is one of those games that are intended to be played multiple times. But honestly, you need tons of art assets to make that worthwhile. I've unlocked all the art in a single playthrough and yeah, I'm not going to NG+.

Story 3/10

Honestly? I didn't get to see all of it (or much of it at all). I only played through once. I can see that there's a story back there, but I have no idea how to unlock it. This is one of those games where it's basically impossible to progress without a walkthrough (one of the steps to progress a quest is to eat at a particular inn at a particular town). And I followed the walkthrough and I'm still lost. Like, a lot of things are locked, apparently, because I did things out of order.

...

But how was I supposed to know that? Even now, I have no idea what the order is supposed to be.

I rag on hallway simulators all the time but at least you can't fuck it up.

Gameplay 6/10

The gameplay is basically top down hack and slash on procedurally generated maps. You can swing your sword, cast ranged magic, sprint, and chug a health pot. The game play is very simple. But it's surprisingly entertaining as well.

Sadly, it's also one of those lose-to-scene games. So I found myself purposefully losing to see if I get a new scene (most of the times I didn't get a new scene). So it's a big time sink.

On the procedurally generated maps, I think the game needed a compass. Remember how I said you need to do really specific things to progress quests? One of those is getting to end of dungeons. And I can't tell if the next trigger is at the end of a dungeon I've already beaten. So just gotta run through it. Again and again and again. But it's procedurally generated maps so I spent a ton of time running through low level maps just to see if one of my quests would progress.

Lastly, the game is kind of grindy. Sometimes I'd just sit there and tank hits while chugging potions to grind up my def stat.

Art 7/10

The art isn't amazing, but it's not bad. The girl is cute and the scenes are hot. There are a variety of positions that an encounter can take and you get exp for the various things that happen.

AFAICT sex exp does absolutely bupkis save for desire for sex, which increases your estrus. The girl doesn't become more corrupt or anything. It's just numbers and tracking. There's no observable difference. As you can tell, I'm very disappointed (and if there were effects, it was so minor I didn't notice it).

The girl can also be customized with a bunch of clothes that you can purchase. And there's quite a lot of clothes.

The one drawback on the art is the low number of scenes. If you take into account positions, then there's a large variety of scenes. But the number of scenes is like... 30? 20?

Overall 5/10

I do like games with the girl always standing on the side. Honestly, she got in the way of gameplay. But you know what? This is an h-game and I want the h in the game.

However, the low number of scenes and the way the story got broken due to player actions is lame. Personally, I think all content should always be achievable. No failure states. Because really, I already spent 10 hours to get to this point. I do not want to spend another 10 on a NG+ because I did shit out of order.

Great story, fun combat. Enough custome variety to really make your PC your own. The only thing I felt was lacking was the sprites. They weren't bad but I wish they were crafted better. 5-7 hours of play time if you don't sprint through everything... I highly recommend trying it out
