Go to Last-Stella Shrine with Elmia in the party and go into the cave at the north. Should be an earthquake and white ropers should appear to fight. Kill them and inspect the pedestal in the back to learn you need a key. You need to find people to talk to about white ropers after that to continue on, and that should be uh. Carle Village. Whichever the one is that also had the Mansion quest. A guy at the Inn will tell you that the ropers were spotted a long time ago and that a party and their guide went searching for them, only for them to disappear and only the guide return. You have to then go to that old man and that'll trigger the next part of the quest where you go searching ruins for the key. All of this requires Elmia to be your partner. I may have fudged a couple things since it's been over a week since I did it, but that's the general gist of it.
