Changelog Witch Hunter 0.23 and some news
Greetings to all!
Well, here comes Halloween! And, unfortunately, we still do not have time to release the game on time. There are many factors associated with this, but if we summarize them, then we simply do not want to release the update in its raw form, as this could spoil the impression of all the work done. Yes, we have just a few moments left to pull up, and it's a matter of a couple of days at most, but still, without this work, the game will look crumpled.
But there is also good news in this. The main reason why it took so long to develop this time (even though we started it in advance) is that this is the biggest update we've ever had. On average, there are about 25 scenes in the update, and in a large one, like update 0.22, there are about 30 scenes. In version 0.23, we have a total of 35 scenes, 25 of which are of a frank nature. And at the same time, we cut out the planned gameplay elements and reduced the volume of the script by 20% (but even so, this is the longest script we've ever had). All in all, this is a pretty important update for the entire Witch Hunter story, so we approached it responsibly. This has led to the fact that we are not in time right for Halloween day.
We also wanted to note in advance that some points will remain raw and we will fix them for version 0.23.1, since they take longer than expected (for example, the general map of Heatherfield will remain as if the events of update 0.22 did not affect it in any way). But, we promise, we will fix it.
Another pleasant detail is that, according to the canon of the W.I.T.C.H. comic, Elion's birthday is October 31st. Therefore, you can guess who update 0.23 is dedicated to. And you can find out about all the details regarding the volume of content below.
Changelog Witch Hunter 0.23:
- Added a continuation of the main storyline with several forks (contains a plot with Elion and Cornelia)
- Added the ability to make a choice when starting the game with new content (via the new game > start with new content button), which the player made approximately in update 0.5. (Done so that you do not have to go through the entire game in order to see another scenario in this update)
- Added about 25 NSFW scenes
- Added about 10 new story scenes
- Animated 3 new and 2 old NSFW scenes
- Added about 4 new backgrounds
- Added 2 new pages in the store's magazine
- Added 1 new costume (Elion)
Added a new sprite variation (Medina)
- Other minor fixes and innovations

i'm actually kinda glad you guys cut some of the 'planned gameplay' aspects.
the combat stuff, gambling stuff, the 'hidden sex game mechanics' etc were honestly more tedious than 'expands the game in a positive way'.
an interactable sex scene isn't a bad idea. that, was a pain in the ass that felt finnicky as fuck.
the 'make 3-5 choices' sort of boss rush mode with game overs, was also kinda a pain in the ass, but it kinda gave some sex outcomes that aren't canon, which was at least more interesting than 'fuck you, do it right this time'.
