So I tried the Kagura release. Immediately opening the settings menu crashes the game with a FOMOD error. Certain scenes also crash it. Am I missing something?

I'd check your video drivers, you probably have nVidia card?
Someone here said could be a problem with new driver, i also think that it could be a problem with outdated driver.
So, you could try updating your video drivers and/or trying an older driver version.
Or, if your OS isn't Windows, then it won't run without some kind of win-emulator.

This is one of those games that looks really good on the Steam page but actually ain't shit
I get it, but even saveeditonline (which works for other Unity games) don't work.
That's why I'm asking HOW to edit.

Personal experience playing with Unity and Wolf RPG, using CE works effectively.

Sadly, i have to agree.
The only things good in this game: Art (and not all art either but that's personal taste i suppose), and animation.
The rest is very basic garbage, scenes are boring because they're extremely shallow gooner-bait, there is zero depth to them, all boring and basic. The story is the usual demon lord shit so again, boring and basic. Gameplay is putting me to sleep as well..

Animation and art really carting fucking everything in this 'game.' Yes, they are definitely working on a new game. I'm not sure if Google is translating their Ci-en page properly, but it appears to be called Alter Egoism of the End and will have two protagonists. They are only posting screen shots and as far as I can tell they have not announced a release date for the JP version, so it's probably still a fair ways off.

I've tried, but I cannot make sense of most anything. The furthest I got was turning my money into a hex value, finding that value in CE, replacing it with a bigger number turned hex, and boom, crash upon loading.
Any little change has caused the save to crash.

Have you tried searching for exact values in CE? I've found health, mana, and money just fine and I've even been able to lock health and mana in place so you don't take damage/spend mana to cast.
After adding the game to CE, un-check the Hex box, then set Scan Type to 'Exact Value' and Value Type to '4 Bytes'. For your first scan use your current exact health/mana, then take damage or cast a spell and use the new value for your next scan. Just those two searches should get you down to an exact match or maybe two options, then it should be easy from there.
Some Unity games hide their variables behind math formulas, but not this one. It's very easy to find what you need.

I kept cheering my good ol' gpu, yes it is green team, I need its feature which the app I use often cannot accept red team.
But fuk it. If green team kept messing up, I go red team all the wae~ (might sacrifice some apps tho)
And in your case (as far as I've check various sources), Win7 is not supported for this game. And latest green team driver requires latest update of Win10 and Win11.
Yep, green team forcing us to upgrade.
