it's not hard and you should get option at least on easy difficulty option to skip it, attack when he is on defensive and defend when he's gonna attack.

didn't think anyone would lose that fight unintentionally.
it's pretty obvious when Snape prepares for an attack, and plain logic to hit defense at that moment. unless ofc someone would just click spam attack, that might cause a loss because that fight scene has always been bumpy, to say it polite.
..well, with the recent overhaul, and lack of option to go back to the old UI, probly gonna drop this game. it's no longer what i came here for.

I kind of get it: If they have been waiting for 7 years and seen very little progress, the art style and the texts change and finally the interface become more phone-friendly - then in the end; is it even the same game they wanted to play back then?

i don't play games on a pphone, actually 
i use that for phone calls.
what i'm saying is, the UI as is now, (supposedly meant as game improvement..? i guess..?) is the major thing serving as 'selling point' for this mod? to me it's a turn off, really. there was nothing actually wrong with the old looks, to begin with. now it looks ugly and stuff is all over the place. fine, it's animated, nothing i'd care about.
next. right now i'm going through every line of dialogue, removing all those wait times inserted, assuming they're 'for emphasis' or something; it's another turn off. every other line of dialogue comes with {w=...} which i do hate. i'm all for instant text when the text speed is set to max. so, i've spent time wasting with rollbacks because when i click (to progress text) i expect to see the whole next text instantly and not what 2 words, then 3 more a bit later, then the rest another bit later. that's better done with just dots or spaces tbh.
when i'm finished with that, might give it another shot, hoping i get over the fugly UI. if not, maybe it's possible to merge the just content with a previous version, but that's more than i intend to do.

what helped me was to change the language to English, save a little closer to the moment of the crash just in case, then skip the entire dialogue, save in a calm state and change the language to the one you use(oh, and just in case I increased the image cache to the maximum before this, maybe this also affects, I'm not sure)

You do know that there's no gallery, so you will miss every single CG in the game.
