I can answer this.
They redesigned her because the previous design was an issue for the people now working on the game.
They’ve done fuck all with her since for a large variety of reasons, not least of which is the character design is bad.

the original game by akubar was finished, this version has a couple of people working on adding further content into the game.
Nearly Full Save in slot4, only missing a few outfits, but there is enough money so you can just express order them.
Guys I need help. She won't do any of the next steps, and setp 4 is NOT DONE even tho game says it is, bcz she refused. This "DONE!" feature is literally the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time.
I started recently and did not level her up, she refuses to do anything else, and snape/tonks are not helping.
I tried leveling her up and story does progress but I don't wanna skip like 85% of lvl 1 content.

Because they change the engine from Renpy 8.3.8 to Renpy 8.4.1, so OS windows below Win 10 basically doesn't work.

new Ren'Py version. from here on, WTS will not work with Win7/8/8.1. anymore.
i don't think they will bring a version for older soft/hardware. so if you still want to use Win7, your only chance would be.. to somehow get the content over to the previous version of Ren'Py. good luck with that.

No longer supported by the Ren'Py Engine. The benefits the new versions bring outweigh the support for an outdated operating system even Microsoft does not want to support anymore. I use Arch, BTW.

In the original Akabur's game this would just be "she refuses and a black heart appears." There is no content when she refuses to do a favor because she's not corrupt enough in either version. This version straight up tells you "She's ready now for the next level of corruption and favors" by leveling her up. This includes the naughtier versions of low-level favors. Done just means you've seen all scenes and will repeat the last one for that particular favor, which is (again from the original) full red hearts or partial red/black combo saying she's not corrupt enough for the next favor so it will repeat. Of course in the original, it was repeating the refusal and getting mad at you.
If she won't do anything else, level her up.
The hearts system was developed by us, later on superseded by the simpler completion system. The original was just a basic menu. I recommend everyone to play the original masterpiece before trying our spinoff.
