That sounds really annoying. Windows 7 was also my last Windows OS, mainly because more and more continuously updated programs simply stopped running on it. On top of that, everything in me resisted switching to Win 10—the very thought of it gave me knots in my stomach.

Windows 7 TLS support is not fit for modern environment. If you are still on Windows XP, 7 or 8, switch to maintained OS. If you do not like UI choices, you need OS only to launch applications that you are using. Your ten years of using old UI make you think that you won't switch. You will get used to new UI after starting to use it.

If you do not like other features Microsoft is shoving in your throat, turn them off or switch to other OS vendor. Continuing to use unmaintained OS just makes you prime target for running botnet node.

Maybe because the engine is different so the old save doesn't work.


I install Python 3.12 on my computer but there is a few thing that must already install first on your W7 system

You must be registered to see the links

It seems my Win 7 already have Python 3.9 maybe from update KB3063858 or from Visual C++ Redistributables before.

And there is another way to running Renpy 8.4.1 if you have old computer with Win 7/8, you can use Windows portable (Win 10/11) and then running win 10/11 from USB

Can you not message a mod and take control of the thread and release it here yourself or would you prefer not to do that and just focus on the discord and site?

That's wouldn't be risk free either. There already was a case where game dev's account got hijacked and someone posted infected links under their account.

Unfortunetly you just have to accept that you are playing with fire everytime you download something from here.

While it wouldn't be risk free it would reduce the risk a lot and ensure at least that the links shared would be clean. How many times does a Dev's account get hijacked like that and how would it be any worst then the OP's account getting hijacked and someone posting the links instead. Or for this case a leaker adding a virus and the person sharing on the site not knowing it.

Though that is beside the point, my question was more if Lemon was considering doing that with this situation or leaving it as is and just focus on the discord and site they own.

That's not how it works, unfortunately. First of all, any game dev taking control of their own thread are forbidden from adding/removing links on a whim. I would have zero control of mirrors and the like. I already have my own website where I post completely free downloads on MEGA, and even if you exceed the bandwidth quota, you can still download the game because we pay for the bandwidth of our users ourselves.

Taking the responsibility for a thread on this forum also means I'd be shooting myself in the foot for a couple reasons:

1. I am liable for all content posted here, which means if something is not kosher with our funding platforms, I am in big trouble, and have zero means to fix it, because it would be against the rules of F95Zone.

2. Early access exists only because of the generosity of our patrons. They are getting the updates sooner, but all updates will be released to the public when they are ready, but because this is a pirate forum, I'd be basically giving people certain benefits they did not contribute to, pissing off our loyal userbase.

3. We already have a website where we host both compiled builds and source code.

Ah makes sense, and thanks for the info. I thought I saw a couple devs I've seen over the years do that but now wondering if they went through a different process/there was an easier way a long time ago. Damn thought it would let you control the links and what gets posted so you could just release it with the public release so the people contributing to you guys would still benefit of early access. Also did not think about you being liable for what others post here and I've seen some stuff on here that while not heinous (Think I've been lucky about that so far) is very questionable and could cause the people at certain sites and business to panic press the delete button. Again thanks for the info, was surprised to see you have an account on here.

Can someone enlighten me how the progress is going? its been around 2-3 years since i visited this game and it seems it hasnt really had much more content, well might even less considering i remember more potions for example.

I think, in the last two-three years the only big thing is Cho's current final scene(s) and they added picture in picture loops in the last update. Maybe the cumwalks (texts) was updated as well.

Must be said, I haven't really played around with the potions or other bonus scenes, so there might be more content there, and the "teaching" scenes in the evening might have been added/updated in those years.
