i've noticed this issue for about a week now, but when i go to download, it gets to around 90% , then the download just stops. no error message, no antivirus warning, it just stops like i paused the download (i didn't). not sure what to try.

Play the latest update. There were bugs prior. I know it says 1.49.1 on the title, but the front page download is 1.49.2, and it fixed that bug.

Ok, yeah. She'll cry that her parents got her the wrong dress, you can then buy the dress from the shop, and once you give it to her, it starts the final days countdown. So long as you don't give it to her, the game just continues.
