Yes, the prior comments are correct.
The developer has seemingly placed so many restraints and booleans on the gallery to a point where it kinda just... disappears. Alongside, any weapons or damage bonuses.
I still harbor frustrations for our community as, yes we play the game because we like the art and the experience( i.e gameplay, setting, character development), but it's still YOUR art. You are hiding your art behind self imposed walls and are confused as to why your players are not enjoying it.
The concept of a hentai game, at least in my opinion is that of we get to build a relationship to our main character, or at the very least an attraction. We delight in the idea of our hero(ine) being defeated, because we want to see them fall for the "dark side"; a loss of morality and/or resistance to pleasure, ultimately giving into whatever the antagonist had in mind for them. Given the genre, we have a very good idea of what's waiting for them. The gameplay is just something to do to build that depth to the risks and build the connection to the world, sometimes is a horror game, sometimes is a hack-slash, sometimes it's a clicker or a idle game. Fighting against that "dark side" is what makes it fun to "lose" to it.
That's what we as players ( can't speak for everybody, of course ) are looking forward to. A lot of devs play very close attention to gameplay elements, and boss fights as to challenge the player, so they can overcome it, and celebrate that they did it. However, in a H-game, oftentimes the only good thing about a boss is that you get to see another area and fight monsters that, hopefully, line with your sexual fantasies. Seeing our character "losing" is what we want, and progressing past that can feel bad, which is why the gallery feature is such a priority.
The gallery is a way to skip ahead and allow the player to see those fantasies again, and again- Which is why players are oftentimes so serious about it. Playing the game ( ONCE AGAIN, not speaking for everyone ) was just the first step of immersion to those aforementioned fantasies, so i'm always a bit lost when the dev goes out of their way to make it fell "unfun" or "brutal" or even make it hard to cheat in. Which, this game is very hard to cheat in, btw. It's possible though.
Anyways, yapping aside, the game can be fun at times. I'd rate it higher if I could relive those fantasies of fighting a slime god, or a body-stealing succubus. Until then though, 7.5/10.
( To cheat, you need cheat engine. Go through and find your health value, it's 100, and it's a float. Upon finding it, and unfortunately there's two, right click it and see what writes to the address. If you done it correctly, you should see 3 functions writing to it. Hover over these and add them to your list. Now, scan the FUNCTION to find what it writes to, in my experience, the one that has two copies of it actually affects the health values. If done correctly, you'll start to see that the values it's writing to are your HP value and the enemies'. Now, just speed run the area, if you get low, you can easily cheat your HP, then get to the Boss and attack them, then you'll see their HP Value. Set to a reasonably low number and attack them a few times. Boom, they're dead and you can progress to the next floor. )
