Every boss you defeat should drop a spell you need to use to progress.

You defeated the boss with all the visual bugs disrupting your view having basically all the screen white?

Yes, I mentioned this visual bug a dozen times and still they didn't fixed it, idk probably they don't encounter with the same issue.

Not on my machine, although that light reminds me of that video where someone was playing a CoD(?) match before the screen gets consumed by light.
