I'm loving this game so far, it's a great mix of Dialogue/Art/Lore that makes all the characters really unique and special. It's a fun and light-hearted atmosphere, while at the same time it doesn't ever fall in childish/inconsequential territory. All the events and new maps are a blast, and are very refreshing and well timed in between streaks of "castle quests". The AI artwork is amazing, I really hope if it ever becomes hand-drawn, it will be really similar.
I guess my only complaint is content tracking, as I'm really worried to miss out on dialogue options or scenes, so the fact that it's sometimes a bit buggy makes me wonder if I'm skipping anything. Something I'd personally love to see, is a marker to identify if a dialogue is going to have content, or progress the story in any way. Some interactions are one-time only, but don't have any impact on the story or the content, and I always end up running every dialogue combination before moving forward. (tbh is my own problem, but that would totally help). A "3d unlocked scenes" menu would also be nice.
Otherwise is great, the exploration feels a little overwhelming at first (but then again, I've never played a single harry potter game that isn't incredibly hard to navigate. Hogwarts being a town-sized castle with a few thousand rooms and corridors can't really be circumvented...), but once you run around enough, it's a great exploring experience. Better minimap or quest tracking might be good, but also kills a bit of that feel. And I find myself never learning the routes when I follow a tracking system...
Can't wait to see where the game goes, and highly recommend everyone gives it a chance before making up their mind about it, because it definitely gets better the further you progress.
I never really go out of my way to write my opinion, but this game deserved some love amidst the vocal minority of complaints.
