In fairness, bluewitchgames wasn't lying when he said the next release was going to be "after tomorrow" - that was over a month ago though, don't think even he was expecting it to take *this* long! Am guessing smth went awry with the beta testing and there were a load of things he decided to resolve ahead of the next release. Is this going to be like a final patch sort of thing? It’s taking a while, is all.
Yup. Can't shake the feeling of being let down - promised so much, delivered, well, nowt. Lots of updates saying that releases are imminent, "last thing that needed to be done is done, only fine tuning and beat testing to go" and then radio silence. So sad, this game had real potential.Getting closer to the 18 months abandonned tag.
math is not ur thing uhfew days left before 18months yes?
Yeah about that launch. No clue why you're defending the guy, he can do so himself if he comes out of fucking radio silence. Maybe something bad happened to him, maybe he just rugpulled for some random reason, we'll probably never know.Suffice to say we're all really keen - being a dev is a helluva time sink, and although BWG has taken some stick for delays and perfectionism(!) I personally love the artwork style and the ambitious nature of the project. He may regret it at times, but I reckon bluewitchgames will be proud when he finally launches![]()
this joke is not funnyI've been lurking in the discord where the devs appear to be most active.
The most recent update of note in the discord was that the dev deleted the most recent build of the game and had to reconstruct it from a decompiled build of the beta that he was sending to testers. (this was as of November 1). They lost 1/3rd of the quest data, which has since been mostly restored. Since then they've been talking about testing but they've been testing since April so I wouldn't necessarily take that as a sign of imminent release.
My understanding of the update is that its mostly focused on Hogsmeade, some system improvements, fixes to quests, more ground clutter, NPC's that move, alternate outfits, Character art replacements, an improvement to the crafting system, supposedly an arrow that tracks your current quest (if he can get it working), and a significant texture overhaul on pretty much the entire game. Unfortunately this has also doubled the game size from what I remember.
(I really don't know why he doesn't just publish the beta. He's been saying the build has been mostly done and playable except for some "bugs" since around April-May so I dont understand why its taken so long)
They haven't mentioned a specific ETA. Every progress update gives a very vague answer in the vein of "a few days" or "after we finish (xyz)"
