Maybe that's true, but on the other side, he always delivers, and by far what he delivered is one of the best games of its kind. I don't care how long it takes him(in the sane limits), all I personally care for is that eventually he'll deliver, first this game, and then the next, and then hopefully more and more. Sure, you could say the path you took is more important than the destination, but in this case, as long as we get to the destination and it doesn't take 5 years it's all I care about. Small changes on the time table just don't matter that much.

Its been around 4 years of development allready so i dont know about you chief but i also expect around 2 more delays after recent one. But its his game so nothing we can do about it but wither away waiting like Whiskas2 lol. Its been what 1 and a half year of not a single playable update, so people have big expectations. I do not, since dev was overfixated on changing engine (which failed) reworking every single sprite as far ive checked and redoing basically entire game from start. Which godspeed for him buuuut, i rather temper my expectations.

Why its always big game studios and h devs that love to make constant reworks and remasters smh.

Different reasons, big game studios because it brings money, h game devs because most of them do it basically as a hobby, and when you're a hobbyist dev its very hard to stop yourself from reworking the stuff you already made...

Especially since you tend to gain a fair bit of skill during long development cycles, which has an even bigger impact as a new indie dev.

I'm gonna wait until the update before calling it. If it's a huge patch with tons of content, fine enough, I'm happy. If we start getting like year long gaps with singular scenes like certain other infamous games, then yeah RIP.

Though real talk, I've been coping for Silksong for wayyyy fucking longer. This is nothing in comparison. Still painful but I can and will wait as long as it takes so... shrugs.
