Is anyone having trouble mounting this game with Daemon Tools Lite? I guess I'll try Alcohol 120% but I just wanted to know if anyone else was having trouble with mounting this game.
The closest I can can up with on the spot is the Bunnyblack series (and that is high quality, there are ton of indy games out there that go in a similar direction). dungeon crawler-ish, artwork is pretty good, story is pretty good concidering the genre.
If you just want more "game" to go with your pretty pictures, Eushully and Astronauts have some decent titles as well.

Much obliged! I've actually played Bunnyblack 1 n 2. I think there was 3 but never got to it.
I've heard of Eushully a long time ago but never found a good place for translated titles till I found this site.
There were some hentai games in newsgrounds that used the artwork from this game and had sequals that looks like they used artwork from similar games; not to mention the many MnF games that use work from other eroge. I always wanted to know what the actual games were. Guess I finally got 1 done.
though many more to go.
I prioritze story first most of the time then artwork and finally gameplay.
I found this for those that just want to view the gallery and scenes. Kinda wish there was an option to leave the Realm of Light Prince to die.
In that case I can't recommend Kamidori Alchemy Meister enough. The Verita series is a little more polarising. I personally love it, but it seems to catch a lot of hate as well.

It works for me on windows 10 with the given instructions, but I get some weird color issues. The Videos, UI and the CGs are fine, but all the 3D stuff seems to have rendering issues. The colors are all messed up.
Changing the compatibility settings and reducing color depth doesn't help.
Anyone got some directions on how to get out of funky town?
It's not completely unplayable, but combar and navigation are way harder this way. Worst case I could also go with emulation, but I would prefer it working natively.

It's a matter of taste. Personally I prefer the game, although it may be due nostalgia.
The fighting system is a bit repetitive (it's like a first person RPG), but the dialogues along the map make it worth. For it's time it was a great game. If you are able to leave the first level then you should have some fun.
See the screen resolution. Also not sure why, but on a laptop I had I couldn't even play GTA Vice City. Yet on this one which is more modern works pretty fine. And I'm talking the same version, the steam one. That laptop had an AMD graphic card, not sure if that was the issue. But since my experience with AMD isn't the best I may be one sided.
Haven't played this in like a decade. Anyone remember that door where you had to enter the password, but you didn't get the password until beating the game? Never got back there in playthrough #2, couldn't stomach a second round. I assume it's something that requires cleared data to pass? Not that I remember the password, considering it was kanji...
Any insight would be appreciated. May need clear data/etc to motivate me to touch this again. Can't sit through two playthroughs of this just due to time constraints.

I managed to install and play without issue however, I got stuck when playing as a tribe of light warrior, nina (the cat girl) gives me a razor to shave my beard, after i do that i still cant manage to pass through a door where a machine voice asks for a password which only shadow tribe knows and then i get teleported away as members of the tribe of light cannot pass, dont know what to do to continue

I won't help much since last time I've played was some years ago, but if you contact every character you will end up pushing the story at some times. Just keep contacting characters, even if you repeat after you ended up discovering someone else or have a random event.
If I remember correctly, some areas and levels are unlocked by speaking with your father at the throne room.
Also for the ones who think the enemies at some level is tough, at some point enemies will disappear on first levels if you end up being strong. If you aren't able to tell if it's enough or not you can use that.
