So, I am VERY not a fan of the whole "keeping it a secret/cheating" style dynamic in games like that. So what I did was try to make it fairly clear, albeit subtly that all of the girls are aware of what you're doing and are more or less okay with it. Does it take the "intrigue" out of it for some people? Sure. But at least I'm free of that scummy, cheating feeling. I'm not gonna spend all this time writing these characters just to damage them that way.
My ideal type of fictional harem is when everyone acts almost like a big family. Though I understand that is more difficult to pull off compared to dating each girl individually. (especially when whole character routes are meant to be avoidable)

Thanks for being so active in here VictorSeven
It's a double-edged sword. I cannot fuggin help myself. But I'm glad you appreciate it lol

Right, right, like My New Family and games like that? Sadly I don't know if I can achieve that level of "group love" with the current setup. I hope being free to romance multiple partners and having it known you're doing so is enough.

What I might do in the future is have a few secret unlockable group scenes that unlock when you've reached a certain level with certain included girls. It won't be the COMPLETE group love experience, but might scratch that itch.
In which chapter is the bifurcation to get rid of Chiara?
That'll happen after Season 1 is reworked and that content is placed in Season 2's Side Story for Chiara. I'm not sure QUITE when that will happen since it's still in the planning stage and most of the community is pushing for the development of new content over reworking the old content. I think once we reach a good stopping point in Season 2, i.e. putting one of the antagonists to bed with a satisfying end, THAT might be the time to spend time reworking Season 1. Still up in the air.

I was only discussing the talking point rather than making a suggestion. (as I already enjoyed season 1 well enough in it's current state) But yes, if you did that it would certainly be appreciated.

is this turning into a gay play???and are you trying to implement sandbox...please dont...you confused me with the debug stuff i didnt get an inch and if the game turns into the other crap i´m out ....sooo not my cup
Nope. Rest assured, the system is not evolving. Free Time is staying Free Time. Don't worry about Debug; just hit Nah and start a new game. And no, what we're talking about is going back and making some things optional so that the player gets a chance with Eshtel, and can avoid intimacy with River.

Aha! New month, new income. I've joined support on SS and *desperately* hope others move over to there. I wonder if you could post a message on Pt, or if that would just make things worse...? They've already ruined so many other artists out there, I'd hate to see this beautiful piece warped by their "morals" as well.

On a side note, is there any chance of a relationship with River where she stsys as she is as an optional route? It'd be nice to have even one "alternative" relationship option in there, aside from hetero. Nothing wrong with hetero, just be nice to have a little more variety, and River is perfect as she is.

Just to check, should we be replaying Chapter 1 NOW to sort out all the triggers, or is this an update we're still waiting for?
Sorry for late response. I will be reworking and rewriting Season 1 and hopefully combining everything into one game. I saw that Light of My Life was able to have a 7gb game for PC and MAC, but only 1gb for Android. If I can figure out how that's done, I won't need to split the game into separate downloadables like how I currently have S1 and S2.

*Cough* I gotchu. And S2 has 2 full episodes so far, with a fair amount of side content. I'm currently working on Episode 3 for this next update.

No Author Is Immune To Rewrites

Hey all!

So I took a couple of weeks off of working on the WCA story and just spent time reviewing feedback. With Season 1 having been my first ever game, there were a TON of mistakes I made, some of which are specific to the Adult Games community, some of which were simply due to learning my software and establishing my style.

The framework for the first WCA was built by a friend of mine over the span of half a year while I worked on the story. Unfortunately, he had to stop to focus on college, and I had to pick up and learn Ren'Py from scratch. Anyone who has tried to do this knows how notoriously unhelpful the Ren'Py Discord is ("Go LoOk At ThE dOcUmEnTaTiOn") and how horribly unexplanatory the documentation is. So when doing the first five chapters, I only knew the Jump command. Had no idea how to use Call.

With all that said, I started thinking back to my own original fantasy series, The Riftkey Chronicles. I rewrote the prologue and first few chapters SEVEN times before I felt it was good enough for publishing. Tolkien himself was constantly rewriting and revising The Fellowship of the Ring, deciding how the rings worked and what the Nazgul were halfway through one particular edition, then going back and rewriting everything before that to match what he'd settled on. No first draft is ever perfect, and all of your favorite authors have rewritten their works time and time again before finally releasing the version they, or in some cases their publishers, feel is worthy of publication.

With that in mind, WCA Season 1 is definitely that first draft. And it's stupid of me to expect it to hold up against all these great games by established AVN devs who have YEARS of experience and know how to both tell the story they want to tell AND keep the gameplay within the bounds of what the community at large enjoys. I've been having a ton of trouble writing for this story as of late, and I remember when that happened to me in The Riftkey Chronicles, it was because I had written myself into a corner and didn't like something I'd written previously. I needed to go back and revise. I have hit that point in WCA now, and likely will again one or two more times in the future as we flesh out this story.

Now that I know what I'm doing, I know exactly how I would clean up all of that code, using Call statements and variables to make this more of a game, which is what people have been asking for. So I'm going to be working on that while I work on Season 2's content, side by side. So what will I be doing?

  • Sexual or intimate interactions will be moved into each character's Free Time/Side Story content
  • Fix Rukah's face/skin tone
  • Free Time will become available in Season 1 instead of 2
  • Any sexual interactions in the main story that can't be moved to side content will be made optional to view, and will include the option to not view the scene but get the story bits in text format
  • Intimate interactions that were previously not optional will become optional (the goblins, Gillie, River, Chiara + Eshtel, etc)
  • Some prewritten story paths (Chiara + Eshtel) will instead become story branches that will give you a choice as to whether or not you're going to help, giving you the power to change SOME of the stories.
  • Some story/writing criticisms will be addressed and fleshed out
  • Reshooting all earlier scenes with better lighting
  • H-scene gallery will be separated from the main game and become a separate download because it's a pain in the ass
  • More that I can't think of off the top of my head because it's 5am and I still have more paperwork to do on my shift
The end goal will be one big, cohesive game that contains all seasons of the game. I saw that Light of My Life was able to have a 7gb PC and MAC download, and only have a 1gb Android download. If I can figure out how to do that, I won't have to split the game each season and make y'all do more work downloading and all that crap. Perhaps I can ask Estrada777 about potentially working together on the official Android ports. They seem very good at compressing things down to a manageable size.

Now, I ALSO don't want this taking forever like the Ecchi Sensei Month 1 conversion has. We're not doing that. Nope. Content will continue to release for Season 2 while I'm working on the WCA Rework with most likely an update every 2 months to Season 2's content, give or take a couple weeks in either direction. I have someone trying out for my Poser position, which will speed things up TREMENDOUSLY.

What kinds of things would you like to see in this rework?

Thank you for the message and effort. Hopefully, there would not any usual censorship due to ruling.

You can also split the apk and rpa files for android. That keeps the apk under the 2gb android limit and there doesn't seem to be an rpa limit. One game here actually has like 5 multi gig rpa files for its android version.

The big thing I have to worry about is Patreon forcing me to make Cecilia and Ashley not sisters because of the one restraint scene. I've clearly established that the petite characters are adults and I don't think I dipped into anything super taboo that might catch their notice besides that one scene.

I would love to learn how to do this. I currently have the DLC characters packed into rpa files. I have to manually remove all the rpa files from each build before I upload them to Itch and whatnot. I wish I knew how to make it render the rpa files separately from the game build.

Why not make a mod here like most games and have the players decide the ages and relationships?
