Adjustment Mod
V2.0 (Dark Mode)
Hi...
Here's a small compilation of a few UI adjustments, as well included a few utility mod's which present some pleasing changes to this harem title. (Improved visibility, and extra features)
  • Changed the default text box, to a custom bottom shaded version...(aids with viewing the dialog text without blocking the background content).
  • Edited some settings for the gui.rpy, screens.rpy files...(increased font size, increased font outlines, changed out some of the default red colour features to dark blue).
  • Changed out the game_menu.png and the main_menu.png images, as well changed the original frame.png image to a darker version.
  • Changed out most of the other red Ui features, replaced them with dark blue versions...(Dark Mode effect).
  • Included the 0x52_URM tool, which allows a user to view as well edit some Ren'Py code. (Can be used to verify and view data behind some of the story choices, as well can be used to display requirement checks as they happen through out the story. Using URM Editing... Pressing ALT m keys together to bring up the tools search console, in order to view or edit points, etc..)
  • Included a Universal Quick Menu mod, used to hide's or display the bottom quick menu...by pressing your Q key. (A mod used to help clean up the dialog area by hiding the quick menu's from the dialog area your screen.)
  • Included the Universal Choice Descriptor Mod, which can display on screen some data that can be hidden behind some of the story choices. (Please Note: This mod is not a walk through, though this can be a useful like one by displaying some choice point variables onscreen.)
  • Included a text box opacity, and font slider mod, located in the preferences section. (Adjusts the intensity of your text box, as well the dialog font size.)

Installation:
Just extract and merge the mod's game folder with this titles game folder (over write when prompted). Then run your game exe, and enjoy this title's minor UI dark blue changes, and the added utility features.

Note:
This mod compilation should not need regular updates like a walk through, (provided no major coding changes have been done to the original Ren'Py Ui files of this title)…so this mod compilation should continue to work for future game releases.

Regards.

I was 100% engaged in the story and the building of intimate tension, especially the pov scenes where you can look into their eyes and all the kissing, too many games miss this intimacy or maybe that's just my preference. The story outside of the romantic side of things is also intriguing. Everything was going great until we started getting into this sub/dom dynamic and the "daddy" tropes. Just my personal preference but I would have preferred the story not lean into that direction.

Everything else is great, even the music I'm enjoying especially the synthwavey track. The only thing that could be improved outside of my preferences is probably the parts that are text on screen and the characters silhouette standing there above the text box. Turning those moments into 3d scenes like the rest would probably be beneficial, but I understand its probably a development time tradeoff. Overall I'm loving the game and looking forward to more!(y)

Just played through the newest chapter and.. yeah, more of what I came to enjoy with the game, narratively really strong, good scene framing, good pacing overall.
Ironically it's also doing a better job of establishing actual dom/sub dynamics than 99% of the games on this platform that caters to that niche, given that it does a good job of establishing rules and that each and every one is important in the dynamic.

I can't really think of anything to critique. I suppose the inevitable lewd scene could've been teased a bit more beforehand, but you also want to move things along at a decent pace.
Honestly just really solid, looking forward to the next update.

Just started the game, does the writing get more compact at all or is it as verbose as the beginning? Because maaaaaan is there too much narration and thoughts and little to no dialogue. I've clicked through so much of it up until Abi's call in front of the school, barely 5min in and I'm already tired. It's like reading an Umberto Eco book. I don't mind reading a lot of text (Stranded in Space or In for a Penny) but there's a limit to how much I have to read without any progress whatsoever.

There's some ebb and flow to it, some parts are more narratively heavy, others aren't. Hard to say if it would be too much for you since it's such a subjective thing, but I will say that it's worth playing through once for the characters/story overall.

So far it has me bored. It's too long-winded. Explains every little thing all the time with too much text and nothing progresses, basically breaking any immersion.

e.g. Abi calls MC to say mom is in hospital after breakup. MC asks her sth, then it shows "..." which any one who's played more than 2 games in here would know means silence and heavy atmosphere etc and then narration goes on to describe said silence in detail in the next panel which feels repetitive, a pleonasm, as you already know what to expect and goes on to narrate 7-8 more panels till the next spoken line.

I hit ctrl to blast through it and gauge how long it'll take, knowing full well it would spoil a bit and even though it gets normal from some point onward, there's too much content until that point to waddle through and it would be one thing if it hooked me as the style goes, I'd read it all, but it doesn't captivate me at all.

So I bow out here....I'll keep it in the interesting list, in case the dev fixes the first chapters later on.

Does this take place in a region where doctors have to report abuse?
It does not, and on top of that, Dr. Fitzgerald is their longtime private, family doctor, so things are even more "hush-hush" regarding that.

Regarding the abuse report, it's honestly a pretty complex area depending on local laws, federal laws and so forth.
All doctors adhere to patient confidentiality, and depending on the local laws, doctors might not be legally obligated to disclose information unless someone's life is at imminent risk and even then you could run into potential more issues depending on if there are laws regarding confidentiality aswell, and if the patient/patients family are extremely famous or powerful which could cause some potentially non-legal complications.

Even if the doctor wasn't their family doctor, there's still a lot of issues regarding a scenario like this.

It's one of those things where you wish things were a lot more clear-cut, but unfortunately it isn't, atleast in the US/US-based fictional areas.
