Yeah like I said before, what I know of US law it would be first and foremost now a decision after the facts came out of the DA office to decide whether they would want to prosecute after the investigation was concluded.

Well, all in all I think we agree the two officers should have at least detained or arrested Wendy. But real world logic doesn't apply to anything cop-related here because no police force in the first world would make those 2 officers also prison guards (the woman says she'll be doing rounds at night). Their job would end by bringing them in, then doing a lot of paperwork and maybe some questioning. But in any case they would stay at the prison hallways for the night. But what's that compared with having a runaway princess locked in your basement.
Last thing on the subject from me, thanks to Braindrop, we know Wendy was in earshot as she spent most of the time sneaking into the car while the talking then beating was going on, and only drove when the MC was not in the path of the car.

Sorry I was just trying to get the facts in order for everyone. There is a lot of misunderstanding on what people are referencing so I was trying to put everything we know together. Plus I am bored with this topic too as it has been discussed to death and without knowing how BD wants to proceed legally or what happened while the MC was out cold it is all speculation. If we are going to be speculating let's make it about something fun like who is going to be next in line for a lewd scene or something else fun.Sigh, why bring in reason to a good argument?
I had not seen that confirmed. If and im going on good faith that is the case (because the game does a bad job at giving the reader this information) then there might be a world where SYG laws do protect Wendy.

Sure talking about whose the next to get a ride on the MC's disco stick is fun, but playing sherlock is also fun. Trying to figure out just how this bundle of shit is gonna unfold and if it can is probably one of the better things we've had to discuss besides who has the best ass and why it's Shauna.

I brought it up you can see Wendy in the car very early on before the fight starts. BD pointed there are a few scenes before this where you can see her head popping over the back wall, and then her foot as she tires to sneak into the car. The below shot is good as you see her in the driver seat just barely make out her hair. Hell she could have been on the phone with the cops at this point or recording the whole event with her phone.

That wasn't what i was saying. There's a difference between her being able to see what's unfolding and hear what's unfolding. Especially given it's all text and there's no way to tell who heard what.

Here's a crazy idea how bout we just.... I dunno wait to see how BD resolves it? Cuz I already passed "I don't give a flying fuck" about 2 pages back. This is a damn porn game not an episode of law and order I highly doubt any real world legalities are gonna be that much of a factor to begin with.

For how close that car is I think she could hear just fine. Also there are clear times when Ryker is shouting. I also think that if the MC could here the security guard call for help being inside the building she should have been able to hear them as well being maybe 10-15 feet away max.

Yeah that is what I was referencing too, I just found it is easier to see her in the car then over that wall. A few shots later you can spot her shoe under the door as well.
But that was the scene He was talking about. Maybe some people (like this update) interpret some scenes differently?
