Don't give me that incest vs Patrion bullshit, plenty of moders on here can fix it right up without messing with Patrion!
We are getting a rewrite of the early part of WVM and I think BD can choose to make the rewrite 'mod friendly' for incest content if he chooses.
This will protect him from the Patreon TOS (that's a witch hunt waiting to happen, and you never know when some Patreon reviewer with a God complex will come down on a creator with the wrath of the PC police).
I hope he Does give us those hooks and makes the rewrite work for landlady/friend as well as stepmother/mother.
I also hope he will choose to find a writer to create the iPatch friendly script so he does not risk getting bogged down in the rewrite process and lose the forward momentum he is starting to build again.
WVM has so much potential and seeing the recent forward progress gives me hope - something I have not had for WVM for > 1 1/2 years.
So - if anyone reading this thinks they are in tune with BD's vision for WVM and likes to write - why not send him a DM and offer your services. Besides helping to keep WVM on track, who knows where a successful collaboration would lead?
It's not happening. The script was never the problem, the renders just don't exist - an ipatch isn't going to change that.

But even in the last update there is a scene with cedar and elizabeth where elizabeth hints that cedar wanted to do stuff with the mc(before knowing he was her brother). If you don't want people to think that incest might be a thing in the future, why would you put stuff like that in the game? We have the whole Azel cycle meme in this thread but that wouldn't really be a thing or at least wouldn't happen so often if BD didn't keep teasing it in game.

That one instance doesn't need to be taken as a tease, IMO. It's actually somewhat realistic. A lot of people find physical aspects of relatives appealing and would be attracted to them if not for the fact that they're related. Actor Mario Lopez even admitted to meeting a girl and having some chemistry. "I would've been about it," were the words I think he used. Then they found out they were cousins and that came to a screeching halt. People often like similar attributes to their own. I couldn't figure out what it was about a girl that made her irresistible to me until I said something one day that got a candid excited reaction out of her. I realized when her eyes lit up that they match mine in the same expression. Physically similar, no relation, strong attraction. We have shared ethnicity, so if I found out we were related, I'd actually be horrified.

Yeah if that was the only instance I wouldn't consider it a tease either. But there is a shitton of situations like that throughout the game. They still kiss on the mouth, maybe that is common in some cultures but I don't know anyone that kisses their siblings or parents on the mouth as an adult.
I don't think the issue is the kiss in the mouth I do actually know a couple of people that do it,I think the issue is the how,the people I know besides having a different family dynamic than your average only do a peck that last like .5 seconds, in the game the MC and his family are one tongue away from a full on makeout,and you also have characters like Cedar just jumping up and down the MC every opportunity she has. I agree if BD doesn't want whether for fear or just preference to not include Incest,he doesn't have to is his game,but also don't try to get people interested in stuff that aren't in your game,I remember waaaaaayyy back in the start when he had a path for the MC to cheat but then it went nowhere because they came out with the open rule, again that's fine but don't include it.
I think personally Im just gonna wait for it to end (if it ends someday) since all of the paths I was interested when this started are either gone or nerfed to hell,there are still things I like about the game,but I have no reason to follow every update, might as well just wait for the final release and be done with it whenever that happens.

Have you noticed that the dev has messed with the girls faces so much that they don't look as good as they did when the dev first started.
Like take Liz for instance she looked a lot better when the game started now it's starting to look like they all went to the same plastic surgeon and he gave them the clown face so they all have a perpetual smile on their face.
Maybe it's just my personal taste but I think both Jamie and Liz looked better when the game first started. The dev also seems to be giving every new girl we run into that same face with that permanent stretched smile. Maybe it's partly an animation problem I don't really know.
I still love the game because Jamie is a sweetheart and Shauna, I wouldn't necessarily call Liz a sweetheart at least not until a lot later but I do consider them to be the core girls in the game, they are WVM. Just wish the dev would stop turning them into charachters of themselves.

The sex scene renders don't exist - but this is at least a way to restore the original relationships. I've played some AVNs where the iPatch is much more than a simple swap of landlady for mother. There are entire new scripts for those relationships using existing renders.
No modder can do that (easily) if the rewrite is built to stop/prevent that. It would still be a lot of work but there are modders out there who like a story enough to do that work.
The question becomes whether or not anyone is willing to do that work for WVM. They would also have to wait for the early rewrite to be completed before starting work so there would be a lag between the new rev of WVM (with rewrite) and the iPatched rev with new scripting.
What he should be re-writing is something like "Oh, wow, Cedar, I can't believe it turns out you were my long lost childhood friend all along!" Then add the good shit.

I thought I would amplify on my previous post:
There are ways to tell the story and use an iPatch to change relationships and add backstory about why certain people are off limits (Azel, Cedar for example).
Reality - we can't create sexy time in an iPatch for certain people if there are no renders of sex.
so:
Azel and Cedar are both lesbians - they can hug and kiss the MC (along with some scripted dirty talk/adult teasing) but nothing further will happen because they are just not into Any guys - call it the long-term impact of exposure or worry about the MC's father and guys like him.
Cedar could even confess that she and Wendy gave each other comfort after losing the MC and that is how she realized that the trauma from her father destroyed her ability to see a man as a potential romantic partner - the violence just scares her too much.
There was a time when we thought Stacy was the MC's sister and storytelling resolved that mystery - she was not.
An iPatch could change that mystery to Stacy is the half-sister of the MC - the MC's dad was a cheater who really got around.
Sex with Stacy comes with renders.
There might even be another girl in the school who turns out to be a half-sister - dad was a cheater and he did a good job hiding it as well.
Bottom line - If BD gives us a rewrite that supports iPatch modding, a modder who wants to change relationships and some scripting can make the iPatch work.
It won't be easy and we certainly won't get MC sexy time with Cedar & Azel for example, but we could get sexy time with multiple half-sisters, based on scripting.
I also think the girl on girl (perhaps BD will give us Wendy and Azel sexy time since this should not threaten Patreon's TOS) could be very hot and add to the story.
In the end, I want WVM to realize some of the potential that was there at the beginning. Give us some basketball games, highs and lows, and sexy celebrations with the women as WVM overcomes the challenges of poor seasons in the past.
If WVM thrives, some possibilities open up, like the iPatch. For now, let's enjoy the weekly steps and hope that this momentum continues.

I miss the side story of MC being a literal stud for Rachel's business. Found I was way more into it thatn I thought I'd be. Perhaps BD could work them into away-game updates, that Rachel has contacts or clients in different cities - no need for every woman she sets him up with (or I guess she's setting them up with him) to become a permanent character / LI.
