I doubt that he has to come up with any lies to calm the discord cult, considering the fact that he is capable of convincing some of his former supporters to renew their support like nothing happened , he simply has to say : "Update comes soon " or "Update is on the way" and his followers will be ok as for the abandoned tag , i think that for that to happen the dev will have to be radio silent for a long time from everywhere...At least another game i played and got the tag , dev dissapeared from everywhere
as someone previously responsible for a major game hastily uploading a half assed update after well past(what should have been) the abandoned timeframe, i wish i could help.. this game seems clean tho. also ..ppl weren't exactly happy with that update lmao but they got their update !!!

This can get hit with a Abandoned but we gotta wait 1 more month for Patreon no communication tag. and like we all know he will post something so that doesnt happen.

I understand. Many devs abuse the rules of this website, utilizing it for their popularity, adding it into their statistics, profiles etc, and this site is very slack on rules. which is when after certain timeframes maybe fans should take it into their own hands and attack the devs pocket, because that is when everyone starts to pay attention and shit gets done. some games are easier than others . this one seems clean tho.

He will probably play the mental health card, that he needed to take a break from the internet and work, and needed to pay attention to his family, blah blah blah. However, he will fail to mention that he had no issue from taking money from people without working.
As someone who has his own mental health issues (ADHD, several learning disabilities with are both diagnosed) and I'm 99% sure I have both Anxiety and Depression, my head can be a fuckin mess at times. But I have never lied, cheated or stole a single from any person as I also have this serious condition. I think the medical term is "integrity".
I dont think BrainDrop had this, or has even heard of it.

Well ,he can play the "Me and the family went on a small trip for Independence day (4th of July ) and we got back late, the update is on the way ..."Or like you said he can play the Mental health card as an excuse...
The only issue with the trip excuse is that...well, there hasn't been an update since May 1st (and a Dev report on May 3rd). So he still had a whole month to do something, anything, and made the choice not to. So from June 3rd to July 1st, he still had a chance to do a something, anything...and again, chose to do nothing.
So the trip excuse is weak at best. But at this point, any excuse is just that, an excuse. Not a reason, or a plausible expiation, but a sorry excuse.
With that being said, I'm going back outside . It's 28 degrees C and I'm going to enjoy the warm weather while I can. Oh and by the way, Happy Independence Day to all you American folks!

Well it's BD we are talking about ...He doesn't have to use an excuse at all , He simply go to radio silence and when his bank account balance start go down he will resurface and start promising new update coming soon ...Or he can simply release a partial update of 100-400 renders

When I first started reading this VN, I think what hooked me might be a bit different than what might have piqued the interest of others in this comment section. I like the constant steams of strangers throwing themselves at the MC for pure physical lust alone. I don't give two fucks about basketball. But I can get that some people wish it were more about that. Hell, even though I don't give a shit about sports, I gotta say when they went into news interviews of the competition, I kinda got into it a bit.
I feel like the story fell off a bit after the assault that got MC jailed for a bit.Probably not in a way that reallty bothers me too much, though. I mean, I can come back a year from, now and say "oh,hey, more sex scenes" and I'm happy (though, I've never been a Patreon supporter.)
From reading the forum I can gather that the author's seemed to have been pulled into a profit-motive that has him maybe doing the least effort for the most profit. I don't recall what the f9zone TOS says about discussing ideology and I don't know which button to press to get a refresher, though I have to say I would expect this kind of thing with capitalism. I would expect it quicker. Stopped reading shortly after the introduction of the princess, by the way. Thought I'd let a few updates pile up.
Also Jamie is super hot. Also love that scene where (Penelope, I think) is like "hey we haven't even had our first date but can you **** me over this radiator please?"
