He said he was going back to weekly after last update. He also said he is going to transition away from single day updates after Day 7 even to week updates. So you might have gotten those two messages mixed up.

Yeah me too. It also made her look more unique, at first I didn't know who she was supposed to be when she came back with that rather boring ponytail. I get it, it's the typical 'I moved my hair out of my eyes which symbolizes that I'm now less socially anxious' thing. But she changed her hair dramatically, she would only have needed to tuck it behind her ear or use a hairclip or something, like Violet from The Incredibles.
