Objection, your honor!
If the MC (finally) agrees to inseminating Rachael's clients there is indeed talk of knocking Talismah up. The pregsecution likes to offer the following lines into evidence:
Python:
mcf "Is she the girl in the photos you showed me?"
r "Yes, she doesn't know about that though"
mcf "So you're setting this up?"
r "Yes... which is strange since she's like a daughter to me."
r "But her life will finally be starting soon. And she's always talked about wanting a little girl."
mcf "Don't you think she should experience a few things before having a kid?"
r "People want what they want [mcf]. Which is why I'm basically giving you my blessing to do whatever you think is right with her."
r "Be her friend before trying to be anything else. That's my only rule."
I cannot agree with the way you see Rachael's role in Tali's life or the way it would have played out if not for her. There are several tidbits and explanations in Rachael recount of her former life and the time she's been with her:
- Tali fled from an arranged marriage at age 14 amidst the confusion caused by an attack on her father's place
- up until her father's death 2 years ago numerous attempts to forcefully take her back have been made
- for years she was angry and acted warily around Rachael, yet did neither run nor hide from her
You could just as easily say Tali is her own captor as she herself decided to break free from her father and to never go back. Although it's very possible that she wasn't mature enough to understand and foresee the ramifications of her chosen course of action.
I'll second that!
