I mostly agree but honestly you could just do harem better and not go overboard with the amount of LI's. One good example imo is Caribdis 'Once in a Lifetime'.
I definitely feel like WVM could have done with half the amount of LI's without losing much. obviously its too late now since you can't take away people favorite LI without a massive backlash, but it was honestly a mistake to get to this point in the first place.
It really is a common pitfall of ambitious harem games, but one that can be avoided.

its not about the incest its the waste of good models! why bother wasting time on such models for no purpose? i was waiting and waiting to get willow only to get foiled but some stupid sister subplot that i couldn't care less for so now im just waiting for the next "twist" where suddenly shes not actually his sister and was adopted so we can have some fun with herwell i realize that some of you will do nothing but non stop dream of something like incest in this game .... keep dreaming kids ... but just maybe when we've moved past the 1st year of college ingame .. some modder could add it .. who knows
all im saying is if a dev wants to add a family thats off limits make them all UGLY as fuck so i don't want them anyways and stop wasting 10 minutes of renders on a make out session with an off limits character

It contains everything...but its almost not worth it because chapter 2 is "post rework" story and the rework hasn't been done yet.

The rework wont happen before 2023, and that is a Dev deadline, so it might not be achieved....
I played the update anyway and i would suggest to play it and just ignore the inconsistencies
I played it as well. Its why I said "almost not worth it". You play through a strong, well established story for "10 days" and then wake up in a whole new story that has its own history that you don't know about completely with characters that are well known that you've never seen before. Its jerky and confusing and would have been better if the rework were done first (BD obviously has the whole rework story planned, if not already completed and ready for upload). But after the DITLO side story "fiasco" I can't say I'm totally surprised.
