Ok, this one I've got to touch on! The Aunt/ Azel/ Rachel thing IDK. Maybe When BD wrote that part he was thinking of caving to popular opinion about Azel, or wanted to hint at it to get more subscribers or something, Who knows?
LOF though, I think that was an awesome way to grieve.
His daughter was the one who told him that he should write a story, so he did.
He used that story to tell about the issues that his daughter struggled with, and then he gave the player the option of letting her make really great friends that would help her through it.
Or if they chose the Cece route, then she ended up with a man who never cheated on her, bent over backwards to help her, saw and loved her for who she was-just as she was, and even, depending on the player's choice, gave Drifty the grandchild that he will never have!
It is a beautiful, emotional, awesome fucking story. And yes, considering his loss, getting to create a fictional world where his daughter lives on and even has a chance at happiness and children... that actually sounds like a hell of a way to work through at least some of your grief.

If i remember correctly now correct me if i am wrong but Azel was not based on his aunt.. But her Personality was which is a tad bit different from Looks, Behavior, and Position in Family status ( that kinda feels wrong saying it like that ).
Now Personality wise and mannerism might be based on his aunt but she is not since we all share those traits to some degree. But like i said i would be wrong so correct me if i am.

If you paid attention to the title of the thread you'd realize the latest update was already here.
"B1"... Didn't he say he doesn't want to put out B1-B4 anymore but one part every month? Guess we're on old paths again and soon it will be one "B" a month and then nothing again...

BD said that when he first saw the Azel character it reminded him of his Aunt so he based Azel after her. As for your comment. His Aunt died after he had started the game and whether you meant it this way or not, Your comment comes across as very rude and uncaring about the loss of a family member that he said played an important role in his life growing up.

I think the way Azel interacts and cares for the MC is what he means by "Based on his Aunt". I don't think it"s one thing but more so the way he remembers his aunt while he was growing up.
