Not trying to make any accusations or anything like that, this is just simply a thought I've had as a person who's dealt with people close to me in my life who acted the way this developer acts. Now maybe he's just incompetent at what he's doing, thats very possible. Maybe he's just a greedy and selfish asshole who doesn't care about putting out content he just wants a way to keep taking payments.. also a strong possibility.
All I'm saying is this guy acts like my friend did when he had a drug problem they'd been hiding. They gradual decline from posting long updates trying to explain why theres no update yet again, to these days where they barely even bother to give you an excuse for why they aren't coming over anymore, or why they can't pay their bils again, or why there no update still a year later. Bro always says he's working on it and its almost ready. It isn't and it won't ever be.

And what pray tell do you want people to discuss? When the game got so little content being released in over multiple years, after so many updated lies and promises, and when the quality of the game itself and its evolution are heavily open to debates ? Pretty much everything have been said about the story, dialogues, scenes and characters... and the game is hardly that deep, quite honestly. One of the latest updates was about girls named after colors for Christ's sake.
Besides silence and apathy over nothing actually happening, of course it was going to devolve into this or memes. The mods did not lock this thread yet, because it's such a stupid special case of everything wrong and likely agree with the sentiment, or at least partially.
ALSO don't you forget the part about the dev and his cohort of sycophants over at Patreon and discord censoring any sign of complaints, dissent, any actual questions about claims he made himself. And even less constructive criticism over the dialogues, the pace, the content etc. There are no other venues to properly and freely discuss the game... All you can do over there is glaze the dev and post happy memes. It also explains this thread

Well under normal circumstances i would say : " that is up to BD " but considering how radio silent he goes and the fact that he had stated that he has made a porn game and not an AVN i don't really see how much this will affect the story he has on his mind ...
When I say his story i mean : "MC is a basketball star who meets and has sex with many women"
There has been this discussion before about if BD has an addiction problem or not. We don't know for sure of he's struggling with mental health (!which any sort of addiction is a major mental and physical health issue) or if he's just a complete lazy ,lying con artist.
And we will never know for sure. As even if he came out and said he was an adtict, would or could we belive him that it's not yet another excuse , as he's given us so many.
I dont wish that on anyone. I hope he's clean and sober. I just wish he out more effort into keeping his word. But thats my stance to anybody in everything.
It doesn't effect me on a personal level, just hate the thought of someone having an addiction and it not only hurting them selves but the people around them .
I dont believe in much of what BD says, but I don't like the thought of people suffering because of addiction. As much as we shit on BD, there has to be at least some people/person who gives a shit about him. And if BD has addiction problems, I feel bad for them as they suffer too.

Everyone is free to discuss whatever, but i don't even see the point of going there. Now i'll make accusations, but nothing truly nefarious there. I just feel that some people are coping and hoping furiously, that his deplorable behavior and seemingly scummy attitude, isn't the result of just being a crook and becoming lazy... but somehow stems from underlying psychological and mental health issues, even depression or addictions.
Why on Earth would i start assuming that, when i don't know the guy, beyond his public posts (and lies) ? Until more is known, i don't agree to trying to save his hide, by finding him some addictions or mental health issue. He gives enough excuses all year long, no need to seek more for him.

Oh for sure! Wasn't trying to aim to protect or give him any excuses. Blaming all negative behavior on addiction is an out. As from my understanding, addiction is a dangerous and flawed coping mechanism to deal usually with unresolved trama. So addiction isn't the main problem itself, it's a reaction to a much deeper issue which needs addressing.
On that note, I have no idea If BD has any of those issues or not and wouldn't dare to say one way or the other. Just saying that people have brought it up before and hoping thats not the case.
Id rather him just be a lying POS. Easier to make fun of them that way.
