Just curious , it's a positive or negative comparison ? Again just curious , I'm not starting a whole debate on Veilguard ... as a summary suffice to say, that for me it's the worst thing that happened to the franchise yet, and it's potential deathknell. It's dead to me if that's the direction forward , and obviously dead-er if it flops.

if i'm honest, the biggest turn seems to be "characters are too woke/gay/fag/trans/left/pussy" and not "edgy/hardcore/right/evil"
while i do agree, it is "difficult" to play "renegade" in Veilguard, it *is* possible, with added consequence

praise for combat, graphics, scenery, music, etc etc
idk, my only real issue is that, just like BG3, every single character is PanSexual

Let's be honest Dragon Age has been bad since 2. Origins was lightning in a bottle, then they pivoted to less rpg more action.

Mass Effect at least had 1 and 2 being great before the ending of 3 imploded the series.

Guys, i know this is kinda off topic, but idk where should i make this question: Anyone knows how this "ignore thread" works? i noticed recently that i could use it and since then i already ignored hundreds of things that i didn't wanted to see anymore (maybe a bit more than that). The problem is that some of those things that i already ignored (and that are still marked as such by the way) keep appearing in my feed as if i didn't.
Does anyone knows if this ignore thing has a limit of threads or some shit? is that a bug?

well, at the top of the page (of the thread) you have the options "show post/ignore/jump/watch"

make sure the thread is NOT on watch and IS on ignore

if that doesn't work, then you are being connected by your personal notification settings, which you'll have to turn off manually

from someone who has played the entirety of Acting Lessons, and understands the VN business enough to appreciate that BADIK is the largest-scale "porno VN" to ever exist, the build-up is for the grand finale

for anyone who HAS played Acting Lessons, there is a MASSIVE FUCKIN TWIST at the 2nd to last chapter, and the final chapter rips your fuckin heart out - - i am being dead serious ... idk if BADIK will have the same grand finale flair as Acting Lessons, but for DPC VNs, the goal is to have a unique slice of life until the end, where for good or bad (infamous for being bad) there is a massive twist

but i do agree, WVM has the potential to, at the least, be above-average for story telling (potential)

EDIT : this is not a spoiler to either game, but imagine building a perfect relationship with your LIs, and your best friend is there every step of the way to help you, and then at the end, your best friend chops all your LIs into pieces with a chain saw and you actually are forced to watch full CGI renders of your LIs being mutilated into past and you think "wtf, i'm in a porn game aren't I!?!" level of twists

I don't know wtf are you talking about guys, WVM, story wise, It's purely soap opera garbage level and the plot is CLEARLY made on the go. There's plenty of developers here, including Braindead, that their literary background comes from reading manga for retards and watching reality shows... While there's other devs, like for example Zetan, that know how to FUCKING build a plot, build characters with their psyche, and building worlds as a whole. AND have the narrative taste and capability to convey it all in a solid way.

now he is in hiding since the fiasco he again is at fault alone,hoping if he pokes his head out again after a few days that everything is forgotten.
then he comes again with a dumbass sob story how he paniced,how he feels, that everything has been dealt of,its getting better and...bla...bla...bla...

but don´t forget that it takes a few days/weeks to render these 100 "forgotten" images
because if he would have them it would be no problem to just bugfix it and bring it out ASAP

Mackenzie and Dionyx or whatever are existing only in his head.
even his discord cultists don´t believe that they really exist,and they don´t really show up in discord either.
imagine 3 persons playtesting a update for a week or two and TRIPLECHECKING everything and still they missed the elephant in the room and don´t see that 100 renders are missing.

You guys, I've got some bad news. It's tragic, really. I hope you're sitting down...

... Braindrop is gone.

At 1:59AM, BD was hard at work, busy with the finishing touches on a 3000 render update. Just as he was about to hit Enter and upload it, the clock struck 2, and the most remarkable thing happened: a large celestial object passed through at near right angles to the plane of the star system (probably a black hole), and at the same time, swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus. These events, in conjunction with the Dodgers winning the World Series, lead to a tear in the spacetime continuum that Braindrop fell into. He is currently stuck in the lost hour of November 3rd, 2024, and will not return until March 9th, 2025.

you need to understand that when someone say this has good writing/story, it's not being compared to homer's odyssey but to other visual novels of the same genre. the bar for being above average when it comes to story-telling in visual novels is extremely low, that is why games who have at least a little bit of thought put into them often take off like crazy. we should also acknowledge the fact that the market for visual novels is relatively small and i would say it only became a thing recently. that is why people are so passionate about certain games, when you sift through all the garbage there isn't that much left, now also keep in mind like 50% of the remaining ones are abandoned. the vn "market" is rapidly declining and that is mainly because a large portion of devs is more keen on only collecting the patreon check instead of actually working on their game but that topic probably deserves a thread of it's own.
