I agree with you about the game, but it seems you do confuse success with quality.
The game has many fans and the devs earns a lot of money with it, that is by the most agreed upon standards, success.
That doesn't mean the game is good (successful shit, often isn't), it doesn't mean it SUCCEEDS in particular areas, such as storytelling or characterization, but by a general measure, this game, sadly, is a success.

This game confuses me. I love the story and the renders, but I've never heard of a freshman in college being treated like a celebrity, in the way girls treat him. He's straight outta high school, first year on a college team, and he walked in the school already a huge celebrity.
To boot, he treats the other team members as if he is a boss. Any sports teams I was on in the past, the team captain could call plays and such, but the coach is the actual boss.
If any captain were to talk to the other team members in the way he talks to them, half the team would either quit, or wanna fight with him cause he'd be seen as a pretentious, almighty prick.
Of course, I've never left good ole Murica and have no clue what college and high school sports are like in other nations.
Just my 2 cents. Carry on. lol

You obviously haven't spent much time around college sports. He's the number one ranked high school senior in the nation and he signs with a (I assume division 1) college that didn't win a single game in the prior season. That combination basically makes him royalty.

Never been to college, but I've watched plenty of college sports, and I feel the internet forces enough news down my throat that I would see stories about this sort of thing...you know...random chicks with the "OMG it's him, and he said I can sit with him" creepiness...and again...the team letting him act like he's their drill sergeant. I played high school football. We were undefeated my freshman year. Our QB was well known to the locals who gave a shit. TV News interviews of fan girls just didn't happen. And I don't see or hear about anything of that sort on the news.

I get what you are saying, man. But, college sports, especially division one, is all about the money. When money gets involved everything changes. For me, the dev actually does a pretty good job of keeping the MC humble about his rock star status on the court and with his teammates. The "gagga girls thing" is more about the adult VN expectation/standard. i.e. big man, big dick, big libido

Yep! Also, remember Skye is the only one who gives him a challenge in one on one competitions and when MC gets "in the zone" he destroys him too. He and Skye are both new and clearly the best players on the team so far. Think Michael Jordan.

It's an easy fix not to have the jaundiced eyes, just open in photoshop and correct the white balance.

Dang, I finally picked this game up and spent hours just waiting for Harper content to finally pop up only for it to be start crashing around the Zoe car scene, so best I've gotten was a kiss and a drunken "love you". I'm gonna give it another go, but before I waste my time, does it ever get to her? I'm sick of sitting through these mandatory Jamie and Shauna scenes, I lost interest in them like an hour in.
Was also waiting on Willow and Wendy scenes but looking through the thread it seems those will never be added? What's the point of having them in the game and constantly kissing then? Very strange design choice imo.

Exactly. It is like saying McD*nald's is a failure because you didn't like your burger. It is one of the most popular fast food chains in the world because the food is cheap, available everywhere, and appeals to the lowest common denominator.
WVM is the same, to appeal to the most players possible. WVM is basically what you get if you take all the most popular AVN tropes of the last 5 years, and put them all together in a blender. It is the Micky-D's of AVNs.
- College Theme - check
- Magical MC that everyone is DTF instantly upon seeing him - check
- Except for a couple of Tsundere girls - check
- Cheerleaders - check
- Curvy girls - check
- Thin spitfire girls - check
- Long lost sister + mother - check
- No father - check
- Every girl has her own special "problem" that only the MC can help with, for the white knights - check
- Harem - check
- Vague mystery about shadowy figures just to have something for the MC to think about, but really isn't interesting or important to the game - check
- 50 Plus love interests, to appeal to just about every possible player - check
- And, for the first year, super frequent and lengthy updates to get everyone used to seeing the game on the front page, to get as many fans to try it as possible, and pledge, before the big switcheroo to ~once yearly updates (so he barely has to work, genius!) - check
WVM is practically one of most successful AVNs ever made. Whatever we think about the current state of the game and how the quality and amount of content has fallen off a cliff, the dev is a genius.

About this update: I expected more from this update. The developer took so long to update that I thought the chapter would be longer. What I see is that he's only concerned with keeping supporters donating money to him. First he did that weak update about Harper. And now this super small chapter. The time he spent doing the update over the time he spent now on that chapter. He could have done a much longer chapter. But I repeat: He is only concerned with keeping the supporters. What is a shame. I've seen a lot of people giving up on this game. It takes so long to update that one ends up forgetting the game's history.

And another thing: I didn't like what he did by changing Lauren's appearance. Looks like someone else. Lauren's appearance from before was already good. I really don't understand why he decided to change her appearance.

WOW, just finished the new update. I have been waiting over a year and the update didnt disappoint. Loved seeing a little character development. The only thing that might be a negative would be that I would have liked to see a full day of the story, but Hey, Ill take what I can get. I really LOVE this, keep up the good work BD!
