God dammit, I'm kinda loving ChatGPT right now.
Dev Report #47
April 10, 2025
Hey everyone,
It's been a while since I’ve given a proper dev update, and I owe you all a bit of an explanation. I know things have been rocky, and I’m sure many of you are eager for the next steps with WVM. So, let's dive into the good, the bad, and the not-so-pretty parts of the journey ahead.
Where Things Stand
I’ve been deep in the weeds with E13 and E14, and as always, the project has grown more complicated than I anticipated. While I’ve made a lot of changes (some good, some... let’s just say, experimental), I’ve come to a point where I need to reassess the direction I’m taking with WVM.
E13 is nearly finished, but it’s been a tough one. A lot of unexpected challenges came up, both personal and technical. I know the pacing’s been an issue. The story has felt sluggish at times, and I’ve leaned too much into the side characters and, honestly, the sex scenes. That wasn’t the initial plan, and it’s something I deeply regret. The result? A very bloated update, a lot of wasted potential, and a game that feels like it lost its soul.
But here's the thing: I’m committed to finishing E13 and getting it out to you, warts and all. No more delay tactics, no more waiting for "perfect." This update is imperfect, but it’ll get done. That’s the promise.
What’s Coming Next
Once E13 drops, I’m shifting my focus to E14. It’s not going to be a perfect fix-all, but it's a return to the core of what made WVM a story people cared about. More basketball. More character development. Less filler.
I’m excited about E14, mainly because it feels like a fresh start. The ideas are coming together in a way that feels true to the game’s roots. But before I get too far ahead of myself, I still need to tie up the loose ends with E13. So, here's what you can expect from the next couple of weeks:
I’ve been pretty down on myself lately about how WVM has turned out. There’s no denying it—I’ve missed deadlines, struggled with motivation, and added unnecessary filler. It’s easy to lose sight of why I started this in the first place. But the one thing I keep coming back to is this: WVM still has a lot of potential. It’s not over, and I’m not giving up on it. I owe it to you all to see this through.
Thank you for your continued support. Seriously. I can’t even begin to explain how much it means to me, especially with all the chaos behind the scenes. There’s more coming, I promise. I just need to clear some mental blocks and get back on track.
Stay tuned for more updates soon,
Love,
Braindrop
I mean, that's pretty fucking spot-on lol.
Edit: Damn, I think I even managed to turn ChatGPT against BD.

- E13 will be released in chunks. Yes, I know it's a bit of a weird approach, but it’s the easiest way to get things out there without feeling completely overwhelmed.
- E14 will follow soon after, but I’m not rushing this one. I want to do it justice.
