I don't think it's the amount of money, it's BD's character my friend because many other devs work hard and are more appreciative to their supporters BD at this point has made ridiculous claims "i will pause patreon pledges until the end of the year" and then he said it was stupid to say that....Now he said that the next part of ep 13 of chapter 1 season 02 will be uploaded today, but i don't believe it...If he were working and provide the updates he should have uploaded months ago everything would be better ...
He does not seem to care, since there are still some people willing to pay the patreon pledges and he can get easy money ,he had to say something to actually convince all those who still are willing to support him...By the time he uploads any content on his game i know of 3 devs that will probably at that time will have released 2-3 updates...lol he has not even finished rendering these update and tells everybody the 26th of september deadline.

august there was a compiling issue and THAT was a reason for it being so late, today hes making/altering renders and has 9 left? curiouser and curiouser

Nope. That was always a lie. There is no such thing as "compiling" in a Ren'Py VN. It's (basically) just pics in folders and a script file. Some devs go to the trouble to archive the renders which compresses the file size and actually makes things run more smoothly. I don't think BD bothers with optimization techniques...

Sadly, I don't think that is gonna happen. He has to make up an excuse for unpausing payments. Will he deliver the whole thing that he talked about? 99% says not. But probably like a third or half of it will be out at the end of the week.
If I had a supporter for every lie he's told, I'd have way more supporters than him, just saying...
