my guess: He´s acting like a kid, he´s lying like a kid, everything he does just points towards him not being old enough to handle his business....
the only thing that makes him look a bit "mature" is his skill as a Con Artist. Well.... And gathering a whole cult around him that shoves money in his butthole for absolutely no reason at all
So basically in line with the "plot" of wvm, no? Everything sucking the MC/BD off because he did something at some point, and then the harem/cult gets angry if someone even looks at the MC/BD the wrong way, even if he basically did not do anything for quite a while.

Well it's true that BD acts like a child but even adults lie and some lie very well , my old boss is a prime example of adults that take advantage of the trust that a person shows to another person and gets conned for it....

I don't think it's that bad. I mean it's just typical behavior from porn vn developper, like how many have finished their game. He's "smart" enough to cultivate his fanbase, and milking them to the last drop.

As a long time subscriber to Braindead, i quickly realized that the product i was paying for, was not of the value i was invested in. therefore i decided to not shower him with cash no longer until the product was of the quality promoted by the supplier. since then, i have kept a close eye on this thread, as this is the only place where people can rant about the awful handling of the product without being banned from making a statement. now i must say, that this project, to me, seems like it was handed off some time ago. i honestly think that whoever took it over has no idea what they are doing.
I could be wrong, and i hope i am not, as this would explain the terrible production, communication, and general overlay of this title.
Personally i am here purely for the shits and giggles, this is more entertaining than the actual VN itself.

On one hand, the "curse of the western game dev" trope/joke is about this tendency, so I agree with you.
On the other, I think BD has become a fairly extreme example. Even if I try to be generous to BD, I think he's at or at least near ICSTOR levels of milking.
Just had a thought. If he's using Hurricane Helene as his excuse for a power outage cockblocking his upload, that tells us his general location (eastern US, from the coast to 2-3 states west).
If any big disasters happen in the regions farther west, he shouldn't use those as an excuse. Will he?
