Idk bro I just downloaded the full game and the animations weren’t working for me.

i'm not aware of the specifics of the issues either player is facing, i do know for a fact, that outside of the missing content, there are other errors in the NOV2024 chunk, people in discord are also upset about it, it seems that you have to get "lucky" not to have them

there is *NO* permanent fix or pinned-topic on the discord or official pat/substar to fix it, i'm sorry

im sure theres already answers floating around... But whats the deal with harp and nat and would it be better to only go after one or the other or both if thats a thing?

I actually did a Harper only playthrough and a Harper/Nat playthrough (Harper is my favorite and I thought we didn't get a full sex scene with her because of being with Nat so I restarted the game in anger at that scene ) and there are just two different lines. Something like "I know you're not with my daughter but she has a huge crush on you so I feel bad about it" Or it's "You're with my daughter and she wouldn't want me with her boyfriend"

Either way the MC says he'll convince Nat to be okay with it and Nat doesn't know yet so it doesn't seem to matter at the moment. There will probably be a small amount of weirdness from Nat but the way this game is, i'm sure it'll be fine to be with both.

I dont disagree, but its weird when he starts choking out a girl he met for 5 minutes a few hours ago during sex in this update.

I too found that odd, we had the option if we wanted to choke girls or not previously. This is the first time it was just done. Don't know what all dark shit came out about the MC's dad but it seems a weird time to start auto choking.

some people can´t be helped anymore there too deep in the ass of there almighty god like beeing Borpa.....
and the most of them are in this discord channel because they would NEVER survive even a minute in other communities when no watchdog like Morbil would be around.....
in other places they keep their mouth shut because they would be forcefully silenced there just like Morbil does that.
i bet even Morbil is like that...

i mean look at Braindrop he "forgot" to implement 100 Renders in the update.the 100 Renders at the very start of the Beta 5 after playtesting and triplechecking everything.
how long would it take him to implement them in the current update file if he has them,but only forgot them to put in the file??
it would be ready by now.
even i know that is not so difficult to integrate forgotten renders in an existing update file.
So why it is taking him so long??
instead of doing it ASAP then,everybody sees what he is doing...Nothing....
if it is truely a mistake the conversations should be there and there would be an error for missing image files in place there.

that really should be no issue for a dev that does this for a few years now.

from someone who has played the entirety of Acting Lessons, and understands the VN business enough to appreciate that BADIK is the largest-scale "porno VN" to ever exist, the build-up is for the grand finale

for anyone who HAS played Acting Lessons, there is a MASSIVE FUCKIN TWIST at the 2nd to last chapter, and the final chapter rips your fuckin heart out - - i am being dead serious ... idk if BADIK will have the same grand finale flair as Acting Lessons, but for DPC VNs, the goal is to have a unique slice of life until the end, where for good or bad (infamous for being bad) there is a massive twist

but i do agree, WVM has the potential to, at the least, be above-average for story telling (potential)

EDIT : this is not a spoiler to either game, but imagine building a perfect relationship with your LIs, and your best friend is there every step of the way to help you, and then at the end, your best friend chops all your LIs into pieces with a chain saw and you actually are forced to watch full CGI renders of your LIs being mutilated into past and you think "wtf, i'm in a porn game aren't I!?!" level of twists

if you look at the development of his game it's hardly any better. he will probably go down the same path if he's insisting on defending him.

I know I'm the quintessential hater, but it's a hard disagree for me . For that to happen a lot of stuff gotta change and be fixed. The writing, dialogues, pacing etc ain't there. Honestly all the game had going for it before being 'ruined", was the cool original premise (which it does not even follow, very early on), and tons of hot rendered chicks.

Which is fine and more than enough for a popular porn game, but no way near enough to call it "potential to be above average". At least that's my take.

EDIt : i'll also add Shauna's idea and concept, at least early on... among the true positives of the game

Its actually insane, you have to see some of the stuff he writes there... Besides, that stuff doesnt take anything from my time. But yeah, I rarely check that Text channel but basically only saw this person yapping nonstop. Seemed funny to me.

i think, realistically speaking, you're correct

"BrainDrop" will not be the person to turn things around, if it ever does get turned around

i believe he will struggle through CH13 until sometime next year, force out CH14 at sometime around the holiday season, and then officially abandon the game
