Oh boy, the mythical testers again. The last time he talked about sending stuff to his "testers" (which don't exist, as he's also previously said why he doesn't trust other people to test his work and does it himself) there was literally no completed work, just made up numbers of renders and progress. Based on that, I'd say it will easily be at least three months before he manages to actually cobble anything together to put out. I hope you've all had good weeks, mine was pretty decent but also a bit chaotic.
I've sent what I was able to, to my testers. Though in a pretty jank way. So far no major issues outside of the jankness. There is a handful of minor stuff as well as some feedback mostly relating to dialogue(...)
I'm currently working on those issues, and making decisions based on the feedback I received. No major changes planned.
I didn't do a ton of render work for the update this week, only about 30 renders and some variant animations. But I also tweaked and edited a few that were pointed out to me as having some issue.
My focus this week was on the much more boring to work on but also necessary work that is essentially just file management. Tons of re-organizing and renaming renders and animations to fit in the things I've added. Tons of dialogue work, edited many more renders, and squeezing the last bit of compression I can out of the android build to hit the 2GB limit.
And the thing I said I was tired of talking about last week, Character Sheets.
I had intended to release them without updating many of the renders in the already released sheets. Well, since my computers had some render downtime I decided to queue all of those up so they match the slight changes in the new ones. I have Harper's here as an example.
The rest for the girls in the A-H name range will be out as soon as those are finished rendering and I am able to put them together, so in the next few days.
I also want to real quick just mention and thank the supporters that have stayed at higher tiers over the months. I've mentioned before and I'll mention again, pledging monthly right now is not needed to receive content (As long as you're in the discord or DM me), though I'm very thankful.
I'm in content debt, I have promised things that have not been released and due to me not wanting anyone to feel like they had to stay pledged I've just been releasing everything to all patrons at the same time, including former ones.
And that will remain the case for all of E14, but it's not permanent. And I am thinking of ways to add something extra for you guys that won't add much extra work but obviously the focus will remain on just getting out of content debt.
Furthermore, the end of the month is upcoming and I have some mental hang ups when it comes to that. I know if I don't say this now the next 8 days will be hell as I would try to make it happen and lose my mind about it.
Day 37 will not be released by the end of the month, there's still a chunk of work to do. And as always with giving bad news, I have an intense urge to instead promise I'll have it out by some other point. Not doing that today. My plan for the rest of the month is just to keep my head on straight, work on the feedback I got, and have things be tested in a larger and less jank way.

The other red flag is him working on the character sheets. BD either does real work on the game or busy work on side projects (character sheets, etc.) when he does actually manage to work at all. If he's doing character sheet updates, it's a really bad sign for any hope of an actual game update.

He's got the "I couldn't get things done before having to go out of town to visit family for the holidays" locked and loaded.

Instead of making excuses, he should be upfront , make it clear that it'll just be slow and that people shouldn't expect major progress.
This is why I'm not a dev - My organizational skills directly correlate to the order of rocks in an avalanche. If I ever see an avalanche in an orderly fashion, I know it will be time for me to dev.
That and I have partial ideas (concepts) that individually would (in my somewhat humble opinion) make for good entertainment, and none of which can be combined with any other to piece together a continuous storyline.
Then again, a male MC in a world where every woman is beautiful and willing, and all male characters fall into the categories too old, too cuck, or too gay to care about anything other than MC (unrequited). He is into (pick one) Time Travel, Computer hacking, AI robotics, College (sports optional), or being the recipient of a windfall because his parents, relatives, mentor, or neighbor (US next door, not "not US" relation LOL) died or got bored and bestowed MC with wealth.
Since our protagonist needs an antagonist, I could go with some Chad, or some Tieballs, or maybe a Dean of the school. If it was a blind antagonist I might go with Tommy, but then my boomer is showing.....
Using this forum fodder series, I can have an objective, and replace it after obtaining an ungodly amount of subscribers for "Hey, you're pretty, let's bone...."

Yeah, after his initial milking hiatus, he released a bunch of stuff that directly contradicted existing plot. It wasn't out of nowhere, he said all the confusing shit was to be consistent with the S1 remake. He just never got around to producing the remake, so people are constantly confused by the story changes.
Rachael knowing him from childhood was immediately pointed out as a remake change years (pretty pathetic that this isn't exaggeration, eh?) ago. Sudden appearances by characters he's supposed to already know were also part of that. Remember how everyone clowned on 4T?

I think BD mentioned in one of his 12 paragraph posts that he kinda just dropped the idea of split paths cheating/faithful and the whole getting other women pregnant who want children. I'd imagine with the early reworks that will be hammered out but...ya know... it's BD.
So on top of the fact that updates aren't being worked on (as based on the lack of them these past several months ) for being either incapable, unwilling or both. He is now working on a remake...that no one asked for. So even IF he was making progress at a snails pace, it will now be even slower for new content. 70/30 split. What?
Just accept the game was clunky at the start and keep the game moving, OR, put all the effort into remaking it. Don't split what little work is actually being done.
Then again, if we were being honest, then he couldn't use the excuse of working on two games (which it would be now) is oh so stressful and thus now creates double the excuses.

The first time I played it, I was unable to process the whole "nice to meet you/MC crushed on her" because my brain dropped and Rachel's tigolebitties made me have the dumb.
After each subsequent playthrough, since Jamie is such a cuck queen and (in my WVM fantasy) retroactively approves any and all boinking of sloots, I use the FEBFTC (Fuck Every Breathing Female That Consents) method and enjoy the scenery.....

I have played the game plenty of times from 0 but i never had any scene where he says that he had a crash on Racher... also I do remember MC asking Rachel to let him tell his girlfriend about the whole impregnating Rachel's clients and even did got a better deal in terms of money even the option to stay in touch with his children... and Jamie did agree to it...The cheating was that stupid stand Ryker and his uncle pulled when MC parked out of his 1st house and the cheerleaders Zoe, Bailie and Jaimie's sister went to the basement to have sex so that she can be on the team...

So, there are actually a few betrayals:
- with Rachel (in the meeting room, when he goes to pick up Azel from the office);
- with Alex (in the bathroom of the diner where he went to "have breakfast for dinner" with Azel);
- the MC accepts Rachel's proposal to impregnate other women (still in the Chicago office) and agrees to meet with Anna and Keyanna + Bethany before Jamie knows about the arrangement... Rachel tells and negotiates with Jamie much later (when they are already in Rachel's third house/office, in Pennsylvania);
- and of course, with Elizabeth, at the cheerleader initiation.
And the part where the MC says he had a crush on Rachel since he was very young happens the first time he "talks to Rachel's belly," when she's sleeping on the hotel couch in Florida.
