Edit: alright had some timed with katie and besides the mentality, fake piercing and contacts she looks aright (younger and bigger tits for whatever reason) but a part of me feel shes got some damage written in. before she was just a wild girl that was intelligent but now i feel like she would betray MC quick and doesn't really hate her family as much as she says and shes emotionally damaged to the point where she could flip and do something absolutely insane. im still worried but visually i can dig it.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Couple of questions. If BD could keep a schedule would we rather have frequent small updates or longer updates that took a few months? Personally, I'd rather have larger ones that took more time like most VNs do.

Secondly, I think he messed up. OK, a lot for a lot of reasons, but particularly with this update, dramatically speaking. Having MC beat the thorns (or whatever they're called this week) so handily, basically by himself, removes any sort of tension from any basketball game going forward. To me, it makes more sense to have the Stars get handily defeated without MC playing and everything else being the same. Have them have to prove themselves over the season, then have a good game between the thorns and stars at the end of the season. 20 some odd points is a lot for one man to overcome, but evidently, MC is basketball Jesus?

Well, I think the answer to your first question is "Yes" , in that I don't care if it was frequent "small" updates or less frequent "larger" updates, as long as he maintains a pretty repetitive release schedule. As opposed to his pretty repetitive delay schedule.

On the second point regarding the basketball game. This AVN came out in August 2019. In that time (3 years ~8 months) we have had exactly 1 bball game (which honestly who cares). If we take into account the MC is now serving a 2 game suspension, we can assume that the next time we see "Air Jesus" Moncree play will be in the 4th exhibition game, which on this release schedule will be somewhere in around 2034 - 2035

A thing in the movies that's severely overlooked but has impact is something called "continuity". If you change something too much within a scene or much later, it can give a sense of dissonance for the viewer.
Now obviously in porn or porn games it shouldn't matter all too much since well, it's porn.
However, when writing(or creating in picture form) a story to go with said game, it becomes somewhat impactful for some in order to be immersed in the world/game. Not everyone will think this way since some only care about are the girls' looks and sex scenes.
I think BD has failed to keep the continuity of his world whether by choice or by losing the ability to control the train(story) from derailing.
Too many changes, addition of vapid LI's, no longer enough substance to the story or personalities/interactions, the lack of ingenuity to direct scenes that shouldn't require black boxes to hide the protag's head, and the inconsistency of physical attributes of the characters.

Just my two cents.

There's probably a bunch of other examples of this, but I think it is pretty blatant how hard he self inserted. It's uncanny how much the game resembles reality. It's almost like Braindrop had completely run out of ideas so he just used the real life drama as the story.

I've been thinking about this theory for a while and it makes more and more sense as time goes by, the MC is basically another virtual Alter Ego for Braindrop.

There is just no hope for BD. If he just did the update without all the whining, bitching and moaning ones again. It would have been fine. But can't stand that anymore. Dude you make way to much money for making an atm average at best VN. Your concept was great, your rendering is ok and your storytelling is garbage. If you had to work this hard to make this (not that big) update, you either did nothing for the past months while you where supposedly working on the update only to cram it all in the last moment. Or you are a Liar and are just making excuses to not have to do actual work in the future ones again. Probably all of the above.

Ugh, I guess I'm finally done with WVM, it was a good run, but after this update... for the first time I turned a LI down. Katie was so ugly and so annoying with that whole jumping on you thing that I wanted to punch her, not fuck her.

I still root for BD to turn things up for the sake of all the ppl invested in this but I really doubt it. Maybe I'll revisit the game after a year or so to see how things going, but for now I'm out.
