Just to give you an idea of what we mean I've attached a few pics of the girls to show you the progression of the "in-duck-trination" / "duckification" of the LI's as they get added to "block head's" harem.
Several of my old saves won't load so bear with me on when these screenshots happen. It's pretty evident that the faces change and not for the better IMO. At the start of this game, Jamie was the ONLY duckface, and mind you it was somewhat bearable.
I won't even get into the comparison of each girl's body proportion and measurements from early to current in the game.

They have distorted quite a bit really.
Keyana and Harper look quite different now.
Shauna mostly her mouth, Jamie's eyes were still huge back then.
I still love them though and will continue to bang them all.

Overall I really appreciate the immensly better lighting technique BD is using, but that overloaded makeup + extreme duckface + increase in saturation need to mellow down.
What struck me the most with WVM renders are mostly the lovely and believable eye contact characters have with you while avoiding the "dead-stare", paired with some good usage of DoF. Gives characters so much more life and personality on top of the nice designs.
But yeah recently BD went way too hard in yassifying the cast and macro-zooming the scenes.
Am I the only one who thinks that the pacing didn't change much, even though the point of the rework was to correct it?
Well, he did sleep for like a day, but no real point to that kind of random "timeskip" IMO.
With these, besides the ever-changing models, there is no real point to it. Well, plugging in some holes with the now unknown characters, I guess.

Well WVM update is postponed till Monday but BD said he will do another release on friday
A brief summary what BD said on patreon ......
Firstly, the next weekly will be released on Monday instead of today or Sunday. I was invited to hang out with some friends I haven't seen in a good minute and I've been going giga hard since January so I admittedly could use a small amount of time to reset. I've only taken a handful of days off since my return and even on those days I'd still find a way to sneak some work in. So I'm going to take this time to rest and reset before getting right back to it. I love what I do but I don't want to repeat mistakes of the past and burn myself out by pouring too much into WVM.
Though, I do plan on double releasing this upcoming week. Monday and Friday.

I believe it is either the supporting hug or lack thereof in the locker room. With hug I got the smooch pre-game, without no smooch.

I am still not convinced this BD is the same BD that started this game. If he is, he must really have mental issues that totally change his artistic and writing style.
Most artists in general have recognizable styles, WVM when it first came out had one consistent style. Now the remake/Special Championship Edition/whatever has a completely different but consistent style.
Very, very strange.
Dr. PinkCake from Being A DIK has a certain style.
Undergraduate Steve from College Kings has a certain style.
Drifty from Leap Of Faith has a certain style.
etc. etc.
You can recognize not only how they make the characters, but also how they write. You can recognize the new style and old style of the renders, but you cannot connect and say they are made by the same artist.
Old school WVM was more consistent and had a recognizable writing and art style.
Ever since "Mackenzie", excuses, and right before Season 2 happened, after that longer hiatus, BD has seemed to pick up a style that seems more like a poor imitation of the original WVM than the actual thing.
If anything. BD should have evolved with the money he has from a hardware and artistic ability perspective. I would like to say the amount of details in the new renders are missing the old, more realistic features (beauty marks, etc.) The new renders just have the faces skewed to give a more prominent duckface look, it is more like someone has the assets from BD and did what they think is a good imitation of his work.
Of course, this is pure speculation, but considering all the crazy things that have happened with this game and the progress, something is up beyond the "official story", where BD is constantly in 'peril' by mental issues, hardware, deaths, etc. Unless someone has multiple personality disorder, their artistic style can be "mostly duplicated", but never 100% replicated. I could pretty easily replicate his work and come up with something close to his style by face morphs, but you would be able to tell it is different.

While not confirmation of this suspicion, I did notice that BD's suddenly welcoming people's offers to help him produce the game. For years, he vehemently opposed this, insisting repeatedly that he wanted to be the sole person creating any part of it.

- Writing style different, largely inferior to the original writing, but consistent in itself.
- Newer art style has the assets from the original, but missing the realistic details and proportions are all out of whack now. What people were calling a choker on 4T I still believe was a mesh issue where the Genesis model's original grey-color stuck on the neck. You get that from either adding assets that are from other Genesis models, or from morphing and not being careful. If it was a choker, there are many, many chokers for each Genesis/Victoria model versions that are more detailed and look realistic other than white and flush with her neck! If anyone needs me to show them what happens when you use incompatible materials, let me know and I will whip something up in DAZ real quick to demonstrate this.
- Excuses instead of results, before it was if he said an update was coming, it was out when he said with very rare exception.
- If there is indeed an old and new Braindrop, the old one was about the game and fans. The new one is about being super careful not to hurt that income and get him in trouble on Patreon. He also has no problem breaking his word and has a large cache of excuses for why it is delayed or late.
- This is not the same WVM, even the remake (which is supposed to improve things), seems like more of a downgrade (despite using newer models and such, hence the better colors. Morphs can be easily applied to give the 'infamous' duck face to the LI's, but the new looks are more like poor imitations because now the whole face is out of whack instead of just the lips.
The change happened right around when season 1 was towards the end and beginning of season 2. This brought Mackenzie, the myriad of excuses, and the delayed updates. Is Mackenzie the new owner, or a GF/wife of the new BD? Family?
This is a good mystery but it would explain why this game went from highly regarded to a lot of complaints, but it makes perfect sense because we can all agree SOMETHING changed and the new material is different from the original (far beyond "revision").
I mentioned something similar previously. There is a serious disconnect in art style/writing from before the long break and the season 2 stuff. I thought that maybe BD had hired someone to do the work for him. My original rational that he was stumbling back into his groove after a 2 year hiatus hasn't really held up. The change in the game is too significant.
One thing that stuck out to me was the fake drama bit "the girls have disappeared, must go search for them". It was so odd and contrived and poorly done, it didn't mesh with anything previous in the story. The other thing is the radical change in behavior of some of the girls (Natalie going from sweetheart to psycho, Skye's sudden forwardness, etc.). As a writer, your characters are more than just words or a bio. Making them behave radically different without any explanation is pretty odd.
What hasn't changed is BD's word salad expositions on Patreon. So I think he's still involved in the game, maybe just more in the *cough* Mackenzie roll...
