Dude, I know perfectly well what this thread looks like at first glance, haters everywhere and to a certain extent it is, HAHAHA, I mean there are some who already hate it without limits and are still here...
But I want to believe that for the majority this is not the case, the dissatisfaction and annoyance come from BD's nonsense, one after another, after another and another.
They have already told you in previous posts, so why go into details and repeat what they already told you, what is clear is that either you pretend very well to be the one who knows nothing about BD or you really know nothing.
I could list one by one the reasons why the thread is what it is but the best and clearest answer I can give you is this: Stay in the thread for a while if by this time next year your opinion is still the same, then I will admit that this place is just a nest of haters and that BD is a being of light treated unfairly by us.
But I could sign wherever you want that your opinion will change if you continue long enough, I wouldn't be surprised if next year you say that BD is even worse than GumDrop.

I find it funny as shit that we went from I have a headache to complete Radio silence again. At least the scammer is consistent.
BD isn't the new GumDrop, GumDrop is a drop in the bucket compared to BD in terms of profiting in this genre. BD was making well over 13k a month (and that is if everyone on his patreon only gave $1). The time between updating isn't as much of problem either, the radio silence is. He continuously promises an update, maybe releases a teaser or two, misses the date, ghosts his entire support system and then comes out with apologies, promises to be better and an updated release date.
The update that arrived in November was half of the update he said was ready for release in April 2024. And it was still missing renders. He had a date scheduled for April and then went radio silent for months. He is a scam artist and the updates are scrapped together when people start getting riled up to shut them up and never actually meets the amount he has said to be working on.

I dont hate him, I just hate the way he does(not) things.
He had all the chances, lots of oportunities to change and he didnt.

I wasn't planning on sharing my personal experience when I first came here, but I've changed my mind.
In most cases, I usually play a "free version" of games (if you know what I mean). When I really like the game, even if I've completed and finished it for free, whenever possible, I like to support its creators (financially).
I didn't discover WVM when it was first released. When I discovered it, it already had reasonable content. It wasn't perfect, but I liked the plot, the story, and I found it interesting. I saw potential. I did a little research into the pace of creation and updates and everything seemed reasonable. I immediately committed to 1 year of support (tier 5).
And in that 1 year, only disappointment. I saw everything go wrong. I don't know what happens in the life of the BD, what changed. Whatever the problem, a serious, committed person who really cares about fans and supporters would solve it quickly: he would hire other people, worry only about "supervising" and take some time to solve his personal problems. He certainly makes enough money to do that. Easily. Even today.
That's not what happened. At any time. I can't say for sure, but everything leads us to believe that he simply doesn't care. The money is still coming in. Even though he hasn't delivered anything (or almost nothing).
If it were a simple delay, I believe everyone would understand. But that's not the case. There's content that he said was ready, in the testing phase, IN APRIL. AND IN THE LAST UPDATE he still left it out because he hadn't been able to solve it yet. If you're that incompetent, hire someone, even if it's temporary, to get things moving, get things going, get them back on track.
Imagine that you're on the road, your car has a flat tire, you're going to change it, but you don't have a jack. Are you going to be on the road for 8 months? Is the tool just going to materialize while you do nothing and don't seek help? It's pathetic.
IF everything goes back to normal QUICKLY with the end of E13 and with the entire E14 being released in a reasonable time, I might even consider contributing to the creator again.
HOWEVER, if what he expects is another year of bad excuses and endless delays... then it will only confirm that I was a sucker and that he is the scammer as many say. If that's the case, he will never see another dollar from me.
In these last days of the year, I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt, even though he CLEARLY doesn't deserve it.
Anyway... That was it.

I'm amazed at the people who say they would support this man again. How much more do you need to see? The man is a proven liar who will come up with any excuse to avoid working on the game while still taking payment from his supporters.
I fully realize if these games don't get support they will stop being made, and I appreciate those of you on here who do so or I wouldn't be able to pirate so many of them. But to support this man after all of this is crazy. Go find some game lacking support with a hard working developer or team and give them the money instead. This game is well supported. To well supported considering all of his nonsense.
It would take years of BD never missing a deadline, an accurate daily tracker, and full transparity about all the lies he's told over the past few years before I would be a patreon. Everyone has a right to do with their money whatever they like, but honestly you'd be better off burning it. At least it could give you a few seconds of warmth which is more than BD will give you for it.

even with just 3200 supporters a big chunk of them are not just $1 supporters, you can see that in the discord. Shit right now there is 46 All-star tier people in the discord so, that's $920 with just those 46 people for 1 tier on the discord. He is easily getting $10k a month just from Patreonexcuse me he has not 13k supporters he has around 3200 more or less supporters.

I said I would THINK about supporting him again, if he can act like a decent developer again. Something like a whole year without any problems, without delays, without excuses,... Let's face it, it's pretty unlikely he'll do that.
