Very true. Early BD (2019) was a really amazing worker. It was great when he was so enthusiastic about the game. But sadly that is now so long ago...and now his "passion" is putting out (increasingly less) creative excuses for each new delay.

Sadly it's not just the work output drop, but the duckification of the female love interests, story drift and endless new, bland characters that really mark the decline of this VN imho. If the WMV was still really promising like in 2019 (and some of 2020), the delays would bit a lot more frustrating. But now, I enjoy BD's excuse drops a lot more than the game. Plus, they're more reliable.

It's been suggested many, many times over the last several years. And some will say he did hire two people to help out: Mackenzie and Dingleberry (close enough). Some have suggested that BD is no longer the one making the game, that he likely sold it to someone and that is why there is such a drastic change in the character design, story, etc.

But the simple most likely thing is that he either doesn't trust others with his "baby", or more likely doesn't want to share the revenue with others. Honestly why would he? The money has kept rolling in for years whether he puts out updates or not.

again my theory [was]and still is that,there were ateam of 2 bd and his long time friend[deceased]and the better of the 2 pass away,....r.i.p ...we got the uncool one,the lazy one,the one without ethics,,......this one is another kind of person,like totally 2 worlds aprt from that bd from 2019 before the virus,.
sadly you can see in his behaviour changes,his demeanour,how he trat the patrons,how he can manage to make good ppl feel remorse about standing up fro him,...

Adding even one more person to production creates two problems that he doesn't want:

1. Shared revenue
2. Accountability

As it is now, he's fleecing everyone for 100% of the take. And there's no real accountability, since the people calling him out on the lack of product are silenced. New fools enter the Discord and think any dissent is a new thing that the diligent mod is handling. Some figure it out and pull their support, but not enough of them to outweigh the continued patrons. So there's no accountability.
