I have never known headaches to last an entire week. He must have a head shaped like Megamind for that to happen.

To be fair i've had headaches last 3 days and then got continual headaches the days after. Recurring headaches are definitely a thing but if you suffer with them it just sort of becomes part of your life and you have to power through it, definitely not an excuse. Unless theyre cluster headaches, in which case he would be debilitated and definitely gone to the hospital, but the chance of that is slim and he's at the point where noone would believe him even if it was true.

I'll show you 3 different situations:
1) Years ago, I had a recurring headache for almost a month. I would wake up fine and, about 2 hours later, I would have a headache. Every day, without fail. Until one day it simply didn't happen. The only difference was that I wasn't consuming the brand of butter I had been used to for years. Moral of the story: that brand that I had been using for years simply started using a dye that I hadn't used before and I had some kind of intolerance to that dye;
2) I had a cousin who had a recurring headache problem. For months. No medicine could help. After many medical appointments and tests, they discovered the problem. It was a brain tumor. He died on the operating table.
3) My grandmother used to say when I was a child that a headache indicated "a guilty conscience".
I would say that BD may have one of the 3 cases. I would bet on the third.

I've never worked with Ren'Py and have no idea what those script issue are... but the game hasn't changed in it's gameplay all this time, no? It's just render into render into animation into render. No branching paths, no gallery menu, no interactive maps, interactive actions with characters & items etc. It's essentially a diashow. So what could be so difficult to figure out? If it's compressing and compiling data, that should never take this much time especially when he is able to afford an extra PC build for just this task alone.
Or am I painting development with Ren'Py as too easy?

Ren'Py development is pretty straight forward as it's purpose built for making VN's. granted over the years issues have cropped up such as usage of new AV encodings i.e. no native .webp support or (over)usage of HQ animations (Ren'Py doesn't preload can cause lag, stutter or issues with timing).
That being said, most VNs have been using Ren'Py out of scope for ages as it's originally made for use with sprites (think of blank faces with expression layered on top of it).
Edit: Just talking about the base scene to scene functionality BD has been using, things can get complicated if you start to incorporate more complex functionality and start layering features i.e. mini-games, phone menus etc.
He cant even get the excuses in mind, of course he would get a headache.
There are so many repetitions "recently", that didnt happen when the excuse train left the station, but now its just a big loop.
Bottom paragraph: "...my family celebrated the holidays over thanksgiving since that's the only time we could all be around so there won't be any issues with that."
Also bottom paragraph: "I also took most of Christmas day off to spend with close family."
So, which is it?
"We already celebrated Christmas so family won't take up my time."
or
"I spent Christmas doing family stuff."
This guy...
I wonder if he means making each Season a separate download like a lot of the other large games. That at least would be reasonable, but doesn't excuse all the other ridiculousness.

This is an old discussion... when I was still a supporter. It was said very clearly (and several times) that he had NO intention of incestuous content, so Azel, Cedey and Wendy are off the menu.
Of course, which is why Azel should be farmed out to a quality porn publication like, Golden Boy.

now it is not the migraine anymore it is again compiling issues.......
other games have a far,far larger filesize with their games and they have no problem with compiling and other shit related to renpy....
i don´t believe that for one second.
if it where true it would be no problem to say it from the start and the first time he said he had compiling issues many people told him they can help solve that but he always ignored the helping hands or declined.
but what we got is i think 4 or 5 different excuses or radiosilence why he is late to bring an update out that was supposed to be out many many month ago.....
every time he was near an update a different excuse came...
