What? I've already said I know how it's used now, and I think it's stupid. I bet you feel the same way about the word "literally."
Insofar as I trust dictionaries and textbooks more than someone on the internet who speaks as though they have more authority, yeah, sure.

I mean, Merriam-Webster (along with most other sources I've read) disagrees with you.

Also, are women who adopt just not considered mothers?

...Have we just lost the word "cougar" somewhere along the line? What you're describing would be more akin to a Cougar. But MILF specifically came from Mom I'd Like to Fuck from American Pie. MILF needs to maintain the "mother" aspect. As does dad for "DILF" and grandma for "GILF". An older woman USED to be known as a Cougar...maybe it's time to bring that back into the fold again???

Cougar has a specific definition as well though. A cougar could, in theory, not be attractive. Like Gertie from Eternum.

Bad news then:
Did... did you just completely ignore the secondary definition listed in your own source?

MILF predates American Pie by at least half a decade, having originated in the late 80's/early 90's in California.

MILF is probably the most misused tag i've noticed. Game will have a 28 year old teacher and get tagged MILF (n)
